Sleet or snow showers at first in north and mainly fair at first in south, then rain or squally showers, turning to snow in far northwest. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor in north and poor in south. Light icing at times in far northwest.
West Northern Section

Cyclonic 5 to 7 becoming northerly 6 to gale 8, backing northwesterly 7 to severe gale 9 later, occasionally storm 10 later in far northwest. Moderate or rough at first in west, otherwise mainly rough or very rough, but occasionally high later in west. Sleet, snow or snow showers. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor. Light or moderate icing except in far southeast, but severe or very severe icing in far northwest.

Cyclonic 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 at first, becoming northwesterly 6 to gale 8 later, increasing severe gale 9 at times later in east. Mainly rough or very rough, occasionally moderate at first in northwest and high later in east. Rain, sleet or squally showers, with snow at times in north and west. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in south and east and very poor in north and west. Light icing developing later in northwest.
East Central Section
Northwesterly 4 to 6 at first in east, otherwise variable 2 to 4 becoming southerly or southwesterly 5 to 7, increasing gale 8 at times, veering westerly 4 to 6 later in southwest. Rough or very rough. Showers at first in east, otherwise fair then rain or showers. Good, becoming moderate or good occasionally poor.
West Central Section
Cyclonic mainly southwesterly 5 to 7, increasing gale 8 at times, then becoming westerly 7 to severe gale 9 later in southwest. Rough or very rough becoming very rough or high. Rain or showers, perhaps thundery in south and becoming wintry in west. Moderate or poor, occasionally good at first and very poor later in west.
Denmark Strait
Westerly or southwesterly 7 to severe gale 9 becoming cyclonic 4 to 6, then becoming northerly or northwesterly 6 to gale 8 later, but increasing severe gale 9 or storm 10 later in far west. Rough or very rough becoming moderate or rough. Snow at times, turning to sleet later in far southeast. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor. Light or moderate icing, with temperatures ms03 to ms06, but severe or very severe icing within 100 miles of the greenland coast to the south of 70 north, with temperatures ms07 to ms10.
North Iceland
In far southeast
Northwesterly veering southeasterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 later. Very rough becoming rough. Sleet at times. Moderate or good, occasionally poor.
In the rest of the area
Westerly or southwesterly backing southerly or southwesterly, 6 to gale 8, increasing severe gale 9 at times, then becoming cyclonic 3 to 5 later in northwest. High at first in far east, otherwise rough or very rough. Sleet or snow at times. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor. Light or moderate icing until later, with temperatures ms03 to ms06, but severe or very severe icing until later near the ice in north and west, with temperatures ms07 to ms10.

In western half of the area
Westerly or northwesterly 4 to 6 veering easterly or northeasterly 3 to 5, then becoming cyclonic 4 to 6 later in east. Very rough, becoming rough later. Rain at times, mainly in east. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in east.
In eastern half of the area
Southerly or southwesterly 6 to gale 8, occasionally severe gale 9 at first, becoming cyclonic 4 to 6, then becoming southerly or southwesterly 6 to gale 8 again later except in far northeast. Very rough or high at first except in far northeast, otherwise rough or very rough. Sleet at first in far northeast, otherwise rain. Moderate or good, becoming poor at times, but occasionally very poor at first in far northeast.
