Southwesterly backing southerly or southeasterly, 4 to 6, increasing 6 or 7 later in west, perhaps gale 8 later in west. Moderate, occasionally rough later. Occasional drizzle, rain later in west, fog patches. Moderate to very poor.

East Central Section

In southeastern half of area

Northerly or northeasterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 at first. Moderate or rough. Occasional drizzle or showers. Good, occasionally poor.

In northwestern half of area

Denmark Strait

Variable 2 to 4 throughout in far northeast, and cyclonic 3 to 5 until later in south near greenland, otherwise southerly or southwesterly 4 to 6, increasing 6 to gale 8 in east. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough later in east. Occasional rain or drizzle, fog patches except in far southeast. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in far southeast and very poor elsewhere.

North Iceland

In north

Cyclonic 3 to 5, becoming southerly or southwesterly 4 to 6 except in northwest, increasing 6 to gale 8 in southwest and then later in east. Slight or moderate becoming moderate or rough, occasionally very rough later. Occasional rain or drizzle with fog patches, but fog banks in northwest. Moderate to very poor in northwest, but elsewhere moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

In south

Southerly or southwesterly 4 to 6, increasing 6 to gale 8 in northwest. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough later in northwest. Occasional rain or drizzle, fog patches for a time in far northwest. Moderate or good, occasionally poor but very poor for a time in far northwest.
