Denmark Strait

Northerly or northeasterly 6 to gale 8, occasionally severe gale 9 at first near greenland coast, but cyclonic 4 to 6 in southeast. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough near greenland coast. Occasional rain or drizzle, sleet near greenland coast, fog patches in east. Moderate or good, occasionally poor, but very poor in east.

North Iceland

In northern half of the area

Easterly or northeasterly 4 to 6, but variable 2 to 4 in far north. Moderate, occasionally slight in far north and rough in far south. Occasional rain or drizzle, sleet near greenland coast, fog patches later in northwest. Moderate or good, occasionally poor, but very poor later in northwest.

In southern half of the area

Cyclonic 3 to 5, occasionally 6 in north, becoming easterly or northeasterly 5 or 6 except in southeast. Moderate or rough. Rain or drizzle at times, fog patches. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

Norwegian Basin

Cyclonic, becoming southwesterly for a time, 4 to 6, increasing 6 to gale 8 later. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough at first in south. Showers, rain for a time. Moderate or good, occasionally poor.

Outlook for following 24 hours

Severe gales are expected in Denmark Strait, with severe gales also possible in West Northern Section. Gales are expected in Rockall, Bailey, Faeroes, East Northern Section, East Central Section, West Central Section and Norwegian Basin.
