West Northern Section

Cyclonic 7 to severe gale 9, occasionally storm 10 at first in west and in far northwest. Very rough or high, occasionally very high in central area, becoming moderate or rough later in northwest. Snow showers in northwest, otherwise mainly fair. Moderate or poor, occasionally very poor in northwest. Light or moderate icing in far northwest.

East Central Section

Southerly or southeasterly 4 to 6, but easterly or northeasterly 3 to 5 in southeast. Moderate or rough, becoming very rough in northwest. Fair in southeast, occasional rain or drizzle and fog patches in northwest. Good in southeast, moderate to very poor in northwest.

West Central Section

Cyclonic 4 to 6, occasionally 7 in southwest, becoming westerly or northwesterly 3 to 5 later in northwest. Rough or very rough. Fair in northwest, otherwise rain, drizzle and fog patches, with thundery showers in south. Good in northwest, otherwise moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

Denmark Strait

Cyclonic 5 to 7, increasing gale 8 in southeast, decreasing 3 to 5 in far northeast. Rough or very rough, occasionally high in southeast and moderate near greenland coast. Occasional snow, but rain in southeast and freezing rain near greenland coast. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor. Light or moderate icing at first in northwest and later in far southwest, with temperatures ms03 to ms06.

North Iceland

Cyclonic, but southerly or southwesterly in south, 5 to 7. Moderate or rough. Rain or drizzle and fog banks, but snow and freezing rain in northwest. Moderate to very poor. Occasional light or moderate icing in northwest, with temperatures ms04 to ms07.

Norwegian Basin

Variable 2 to 4 at first in east, otherwise southwesterly 4 to 6. Slight or moderate, becoming rough in northwest. Occasional rain or drizzle and fog patches. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.
