At 141200UTC, low 58 north 25 west 971 expected 58 north 28 west with little change. Winds will reach storm force 10 or violent storm 11 in the north quadrant of the low within 300 miles from the centre until 150700UTC. New low expected 60 north 18 west 977 by same time. Winds are expected to reach storm force 10 in northwest quadrant of the low within 100 miles from the centre after 150800UTC. Finally, southerly winds will storm force 10 in the southeast of Norwegian Basin, within 100 miles from the Norwegian coast after 151700UTC

West Northern Section
Cyclonic 7 to severe gale 9, but severe gale 9 to violent storm 11 at first in northwest. Very rough or high, occasionally rough at first in south and very high in east. Rain or showers, but sleet or snow in northwest. Moderate poor, occasionally very poor in northwest. Light to moderate icing in northwest, occasionally severe at first in far northwest.
East Central Section
Southwesterly veering westerly, 6 to gale 8, increasing severe gale 9 later in northwest. Very rough or high. Occasional rain in south, thundery showers in north. Good, occasionally poor.
West Central Section

In rest of area
Easterly 7 to severe gale 9, backing northeasterly 4 to 6. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough in southwest. Mainly fair. Good. Light to moderate icing in north with temperatures ms04 to ms07, becoming severe to very severe with temperatures ms10 to ms13.
North Iceland
Cyclonic, mainly northeasterly, 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 in southeast. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough in southeast and slight in northwest. Occasional snow or snow showers, but mainly fair in southwest. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor. Moderate to severe icing in northwest with temperatures ms09 to ms12, becoming very severe near the ice edge with temperatures around ms14. Occasional light icing in southeast with temperatures ms02 to ms4.
Norwegian Basin
Cyclonic, mainly southerly, 5 to 7, increasing gale 8 to storm 10 in east. Moderate or rough, becoming rough or very rough, occasionally high. Occasional rain or sleet and snow showers. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.
Outlook for following 24 hours
Storms are expected in East Northern Section and Norwegian Basin, with severe gales expected in Faeroes, Southeast Iceland, West Northern Section, East Central Section, West Central Section and north Iceland. Gales are expected in all other areas.
