Cyclonic 3 to 5, becoming southeasterly 5 or 6 later in far southwest. Moderate. Rain or showers, fog patches at first. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor at first, then becoming poor later in far southwest.

West Northern Section

In northern half of the area

Variable 3 or less at first in far north, otherwise cyclonic 3 to 5, occasionally 6 later in far west. Slight at first in far north, otherwise moderate. Fair at first in far north, otherwise rain or drizzle at times, fog patches in south. Good at first in far north, otherwise moderate of good, becoming poor at times, but occasionally very poor in south.

In southern half of the area

Southwesterly 3 or 4 becoming variable 2 to 4, then becoming cyclonic 4 to 6 later in south. Moderate. Occasional drizzle, then rain later, fog patches. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

East Central Section

In eastern half of the area

Southerly or southwesterly becoming cyclonic, 3 to 5, occasionally 6 at first in north, becoming variable 2 to 4 later. Moderate in north, slight or moderate in south. Rain or drizzle at times, but becoming fair later in north, fog patches at first. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor at first and poor later, but then becoming good later in north.

In western half of the area

Westerly becoming variable 2 to 4, then becoming southwesterly 4 to 6 later in south but cyclonic 4 to 6 later in north. Moderate in north, slight or moderate in south. Fair at first in north, otherwise rain or drizzle at times, fog patches. Good at first in north, otherwise moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

West Central Section

In northeastern half of the area

Variable 2 to 4, becoming cyclonic mainly southwesterly 4 to 6. Moderate. Mainly fair then rain, thundery at times, fog banks developing. Good, becoming moderate to very poor.

In southwestern half of the area

Cyclonic 4 to 6, becoming variable 2 to 4 later in south. Moderate. Fair at first in far north, otherwise rain or thundery showers, fog banks, perhaps extensive fog for a time. Moderate to very poor, occasionally good.

Denmark Strait

Variable 3 or less at first in far north, otherwise southerly or southwesterly 3 to 5, but becoming variable 3 or less later in south. Slight, occasionally moderate. Rain later in far west, fog patches near greenland. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor near greenland.

North Iceland

In western half of the area

Variable 2 to 4, becoming southwesterly 3 or 4 later. Slight, occasionally moderate at first. Fog banks except in south. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor except in south.

In eastern half of the area

Westerly or northwesterly 3 to 5, occasionally 6 at first in south, becoming variable 2 to 4 later. Slight or moderate. Occasional rain in southeast. Moderate or good.

Norwegian Basin

Southwesterly at first in east, otherwise westerly or northwesterly, but veering northerly later in northwest, 3 to 5. Moderate, occasionally slight near norway. Rain at times. Good, occasionally poor in north and moderate in south.
