Northwesterly 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 in east, backing westerly 4 to 6 in west. Rough or very rough, becoming moderate or rough in west. Squally showers, perhaps thundery at first in east, becoming mainly fair in west. Moderate or good, occasionally poor at first in east.

Denmark Strait

Variable 3 or 4 at first in north, otherwise northerly or northeasterly 5 to 7, increasing 7 to severe gale 9 except near Iceland coast and near the greenland coast in west, occasionally storm 10 later between 67 and 70 north. Moderate or rough, becoming rough or very rough, occasionally high later. Mainly fair then occasional rain, sleet, snow and freezing rain. Good, becoming moderate to very poor. Occasional light icing later in far north with temperatures around ms02.

North Iceland

In north

Variable 2 to 4, becoming cyclonic, mainly easterly, 6 to gale 8 in south and also later in north. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough later in far southwest. Wintry showers, then rain or sleet in south, and rain and snow later in north. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in south and very poor later in north.

In south

Cyclonic mainly easterly or southeasterly, 4 to 6, increasing 6 or 7, occasionally gale 8 in west and later in southeast. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough later. Rain at times, fog patches in southeast. Moderate or good, occasionally poor, but very poor in southeast.

Norwegian Basin

Southerly or southwesterly 4 or 5, backing southeasterly 4 to 6, increasing 6 to gale 8 later in west. Moderate or rough, becoming moderate in east, occasionally very rough later in west. Fair, then drizzle later in west. Good, occasionally poor later in west.
