Cyclonic 3 to 5 in southwest, otherwise northwesterly 5 to 7, perhaps gale 8 later. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough in northeast. Showers. Moderate or good.

East Northern Section

In north

Cyclonic 3 to 5, occasionally 6 near Iceland. Moderate, occasionally rough in south and east. Occasional rain in far south and southwest. Good, occasionally poor in far south and southwest.

In south

Westerly, 3 or 4 at first in northeast, otherwise 5 to 7, decreasing 4 at times in northeast and later in west. Rough, occasionally very rough later in east. Occasional rain or drizzle. Moderate or good, occasionally poor.

West Northern Section

In north

Cyclonic 3 to 5, occasionally 6 later in far north. Moderate, occasionally slight in far northwest and rough in far south. Occasional rain or drizzle. Moderate or good, occasionally poor.

In south

Westerly or southwesterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 at first. Moderate or rough. Drizzle at times, fog patches. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

East Central Section

Variable 3 or less in far southwest, otherwise westerly or northwesterly 4 or 5, increasing 6 at times in north and east and occasionally 3 in southwest, backing southwesterly later in northwest. Moderate or rough in north and east, slight or moderate in southwest. Occasional drizzle with fog patches, but mainly fair at first in far south and becoming mainly fair in northeast. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor, but mainly good at first in far south and becoming good in northeast.

West Central Section

In north

Westerly or southwesterly 4 or 5, occasionally 6 at first in northeast. Moderate, occasionally rough in north. Rain or drizzle with fog banks. Poor or very poor, occasionally moderate.

In south

Westerly or southwesterly 3 to 5 in far north, otherwise variable 2 to 4. Slight, occasionally moderate in north. Mainly fair until later in far south, otherwise occasional drizzle with fog patches, then thundery rain or showers later. Good until later in far south, otherwise moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

Denmark Strait

Northerly or northwesterly 4 to 6 at first in far east and northeasterly 4 or 5 at first near west Iceland, otherwise variable 2 to 4, becoming southwesterly 3 to 5 later in northwest. Moderate, occasionally rough at first in far east. Fog patches in northwest. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor in northwest.

North Iceland

In southeastern half of area

Cyclonic mainly northerly or northwesterly, 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 in south, decreasing 4 at times in far east and also later in far west. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough in south. Mainly fair in far west, otherwise rain at times, fog patches in east. Good in far west, otherwise moderate or good, occasionally poor but very poor in east.

In northwestern half of area

Northerly or northeasterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 at first in south, becoming variable 2 to 4 in northwest. Moderate, occasionally rough at first, becoming slight at times later in northwest. Occasional rain in southeast, fog patches. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.
