Southerly or southeasterly mainly 3 to 5, but 6 at first in northwest. Moderate or rough. Mainly fair. Good.

Bailey

South 5 to 7, decreasing 4 or 5 later. Very rough at first in northwest, otherwise rough, but becoming moderate later in southeast. Rain in west. Good, occasionally poor in west.

Faeroes

Southwesterly backing southeasterly, 3 to 5. Moderate or rough. Fog patches later. Good, occasionally very poor later.

Southeast Iceland

Cyclonic 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 at first in far west, becoming southerly 4 to 6, then becoming variable 3 later in west. Moderate or rough, becoming rough or very rough for a time. Rain, fog patches. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

East Northern Section

In eastern half of the area

Cyclonic mainly southerly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 at first in northeast, then becoming variable 2 to 4 except in far east. Rough or very rough becoming moderate or rough. Rain or showers. Moderate or good, occasionally poor.

In western half of the area

Variable 2 to 4, becoming northerly or northwesterly 3 to 5 in far north. Moderate or rough. Occasional rain, drizzle or showers. Moderate or good, occasionally poor at first in north.

West Northern Section

Cyclonic 3 to 5 becoming northeasterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 later in far north. Moderate or rough. Rain or showers. Good, occasionally poor.

Northwesterly 4 or 5, occasionally 6 except in southwest. Moderate or rough, but moderate throughout in southwest. Showers, but mainly fair in southwest. Good, occasionally moderate in northeast.

Northeasterly 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 later in east, perhaps severe gale 9 later in east, but becoming cyclonic 3 to 5 later in far southeast and variable 2 to 4 later in west. Moderate or good, becoming poor at times, but occasionally very poor later in far southeast.
