Denmark Strait

Northerly or northeasterly, 4 to 6 throughout in far west, otherwise 7 to severe gale 9, occasionally storm 10 in north. Rough or very rough, occasionally moderate near the ice and high in east. Mainly fair in far west, otherwise rain, sleet and snow at times. Good in far west, otherwise moderate or good, occasionally very poor. Light or moderate icing mainly in north and northwest, with temperatures ms02 to ms05.

North Iceland

In north

Variable 2 to 4 at first in far northeast, otherwise easterly or northeasterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 in south, increasing 6 to gale 8 in west, perhaps severe gale 9 later in far west. Rough or very rough. Mainly fair at first in northeast, otherwise occasional rain, sleet and snow, fog patches later. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor. Light or moderate icing in far west near the ice edge, with temperatures ms02 to ms05.

In south

Easterly or northeasterly 6 to gale 8, decreasing 4 to 6 in south and east and later in northwest, then becoming cyclonic 6 to gale 8 later in far southeast. Rough or very rough. Rain at times, but sleet and snow in northwest, fog patches. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

Norwegian Basin

Southeasterly 6 to gale 8, occasionally 5 at first, then increasing severe gale 9 at times in west, decreasing 4 to 6 in far east. Moderate or rough in far east, but elsewhere rough or very rough.
