East Central Section

In northern half of the area

In southern half of the area

Cyclonic 4 to 6 at first in far northeast, otherwise westerly or northwesterly 7 to severe gale 9, decreasing 5 to 7 later. Very rough or high. Squally showers, thundery at times in east. Moderate or poor.

West Central Section

Cyclonic 3 to 5 in far northeast, elsewhere westerly or northwesterly, becoming cyclonic later in far south, 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 at first, then decreasing 4 at times later. Rough or very rough, occasionally high at first in far southeast. Occasional rain in north and east, squally wintry showers in south and west. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in south and west.

Denmark Strait

Easterly or northeasterly, becoming cyclonic later, 5 to 7, increasing gale 8 or severe gale 9 later in north. Moderate or rough. Occasional sleet or snow. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor. Occasional light or moderate icing north of 66 north with temperatures ms02 to ms04.

North Iceland

In area to the north of 70 north

Variable 2 to 4. Moderate. Fog patches, occasional snow later mainly in west. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

In area to the south of 70 north

Easterly or southeasterly, 4 to 6, increasing 7 at times in far south and far southwest. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough at first in far south. Wintry showers, but occasional rain or sleet in west, and snow at times later in far northwest. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in east and very poor in west.

Norwegian Basin

Easterly or northeasterly, veering southeasterly later in south, 4 to 6, increasing 7 at times later in north. Slight at first in far east, otherwise moderate or rough. Fair. Good.
