West Northern Section

In north

Cyclonic 6 to gale 8, occasionally 5 in west and later in north, moderate or rough, occasionally very rough. Occasional rain or showers, becoming mainly fair later in south. Good, occasionally poor in north and until later in south.

In south

Westerly or southwesterly 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 in northwest, becoming cyclonic 4 to 6 in south. Moderate or rough. Occasional rain, becoming mainly fair in northwest. Moderate or good, occasionally poor, becoming mainly good in northwest.

East Central Section

Northwesterly 3 to 5 at first in east, otherwise cyclonic, becoming mainly southwesterly later, 4 to 6, occasionally 7 in north and west, perhaps gale 8 later in north. Moderate or rough. Mainly fair at first in north and east, otherwise rain or drizzle at times with fog patches developing. Mainly good at first in north and east, otherwise moderate to very poor.

West Central Section

In southeastern half of area

Cyclonic 4 to 6, becoming southwesterly 5 to 7, then variable 2 to 4 later in west. Moderate or rough. Rain or drizzle and fog patches. Moderate to very poor.

In northwestern half of area

Cyclonic 3 to 5, occasionally 6 at first in north. Moderate occasionally rough. Occasional rain or drizzle and fog patches. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

Denmark Strait

Variable 2 to 4 at first in far north, otherwise cyclonic 4 to 6, occasionally 3 in east, becoming northeasterly 7 to severe gale 9 near greenland coast in far southwest. Slight or moderate in northeast, moderate or rough in southwest. Mainly fair at first in southeast, otherwise occasional rain or showers, with sleet or freezing rain at times near greenland coast with fog patches. Good at first in southeast, otherwise moderate or good, occasionally very poor near greenland coast and poor elsewhere.

North Iceland

In north

Cyclonic 3 to 5, occasionally 2 in north, increasing 6 at times in far south. Moderate, occasionally slight in west. Occasional rain or drizzle, with freezing rain until later in far northwest, fog banks, becoming fog patches later. Moderate to very poor, occasionally good later.

In south
