West Northern Section

In far south

Variable 2 or 3, becoming cyclonic 4 to 6 later. Rough, occasionally moderate later. Rain or drizzle, fog patches developing. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

In rest of area

Easterly or northeasterly 4 to 6. Moderate or rough. Rain or drizzle, fog patches in northeast. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor in northeast.

East Central Section

Southerly or southeasterly, veering southwesterly, 4 to 6, but variable 2 or 3 at first in east. Moderate or rough. Occasional rain or drizzle, perhaps thundery at times, fog patches, showers later. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor until later.

West Central Section

Cyclonic, becoming mainly westerly later, 4 to 6, but 6 to gale 8 at first in south. Rough, occasionally moderate in north, and very rough at times in south. Rain or showers, fog patches until later in northeast. Moderate or good, occasionally poor, but very poor at times in northeast.

Denmark Strait

Variable, mainly northeasterly 2 to 4, but northerly or northeasterly 4 or 5 for a time in far southwest. Slight, occasionally moderate in south. Drizzle, extensive fog in west, becoming fog patches, fair at times in east. Poor or very poor, occasionally moderate or good in east.

North Iceland

Northerly 3 to 5 but often variable 2 to 4, becoming southerly 4 or 5 later in northwest. Slight, occasionally moderate in northeast and southeast. Drizzle and fog banks in northwest, otherwise mainly fair, showers. Poor or very poor in northwest, otherwise moderate or good, occasionally poor.

Norwegian Basin

Northerly or northeasterly 4 to 6, but 7 or gale 8 until later in southeast. Moderate or rough. Showers later. Moderate or good.
