West Northern Section

Variable 2 to 4 at first in northeast, otherwise cyclonic 6 to gale 8, occasionally severe gale 9 in west, becoming southwesterly 5 to 7 later, except in far north. Slight or moderate in far north at first, otherwise moderate or rough, occasionally very rough in southwest, becoming rough or very rough, occasionally high later in northwest. Rain or showers, but sleet or snow at times in far north and northwest. Moderate or good, occasionally poor, and very poor at times in northwest.

East Central Section

Variable 2 to 4 at first in west, otherwise northerly or northwesterly 5 to 7, backing southwesterly in west and later in east. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough at first in east. Showers at first in northeast, otherwise fair, but rain later in north and west. Moderate or good, occasionally poor later in north and east.

West Central Section

Cyclonic mainly southerly or southwesterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 until later, becoming variable 2 to 4 later in northwest. Moderate or rough. Occasional rain or showers, perhaps thundery at times, fog patches in south. Moderate or good, occasionally poor, and very poor at times in south.

Denmark Strait

Variable 2 to 4, becoming cyclonic 5 to 7, but northeasterly 7 to severe gale 9 later in west near greenland. Slight or moderate, occasionally smooth until later in north, becoming rough or very rough later in south and southwest, occasional sleet and snow, fog patches in west. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor in west. Occasional light or moderate icing developing later close to greenland coast with temperatures ms03 to ms05.

North Iceland

Variable 2 to 4, but northwesterly 4 or 5 at times at first in east, becoming cyclonic 3 to 5 later, occasionally 6 for a time in west. Slight or moderate, occasionally smooth in far northwest. Sleet and snow showers. Light occasionally moderate icing developing later in west with temperatures ms03 to ms05.

Norwegian Basin

Northeasterly backing mainly northerly, 4 to 6, occasionally 7 for a time in southeast, becoming variable 2 to 4 later in west. Moderate, occasionally rough in south and southeast, occasionally slight later in northeast. Showers, turning wintry. Good, occasionally poor.
