North Iceland

In north

Cyclonic, mainly easterly, 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 at first in east, decreasing 4 at times in south and west, becoming variable 2 to 4 later in east except in far northeast. Rough or very rough. Mainly fair at first in north and northeast, otherwise occasional rain, sleet and snow with fog banks. Mainly good at first in north and northeast, otherwise moderate to very poor. Occasional light or moderate icing around 70 north in far west with temperatures ms03 to ms05.

In south

Easterly or southeasterly becoming cyclonic, 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 in south and at first in far northeast. Very rough or high in southeast and rough or very rough in northwest. Occasional rain, but sleet and snow at times in far west and far north, fog patches. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

Norwegian Basin

Cyclonic 6 to gale 8 at first in far northeast, otherwise southerly or southwesterly, 5 to 7, occasionally 4 at first, perhaps gale 8 later near norway coast. Very rough, occasionally rough in east and high in west. Rain at times, then showers in west and also later in east. Moderate or good, occasionally poor.

Outlook for following 24 hours

Storms expected in Southeast Iceland, East Northern Section, West Northern Section, West Central Section and north Iceland with a risk of storms in Bailey, Faeroes and Norwegian Basin. Severe gales expected in Shannon, Rockall, East Central Section and Denmark Strait with gales in Sole.
