North Iceland

In southeastern half of area

Light or moderate icing expected at first with temperatures ms03 to ms05. Severe or very severe icing expected at times near the ice with temperatures ms08 to ms11 becoming confined to west of 17 west.

Norwegian Basin

Cyclonic 4 to 6, increasing 7 at times in southeast. Rough, occasionally very rough at first and moderate later. Mainly fair at first in northwest, otherwise rain at times. Good at first in northwest, otherwise moderate or good, occasionally poor.

Outlook for following 24 hours

Hurricane force winds are expected in Denmark Strait with violent storms in West Northern Section. Storms are expected in Southeast Iceland and north Iceland with a risk of storms in East Central Section. Severe gales expected in Sole, East Northern Section and Norwegian Basin with a risk of severe gales in Rockall, Bailey and Faeroes. Gales expected in West Central Section.
