East Central Section

In northeastern half of area

Cyclonic 4 to 6, occasionally 3 at first, increasing 6 to gale 8 for a time in far southeast. Moderate or rough. Rain at times, perhaps thundery later, fog patches. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

In southwestern half of area

Cyclonic at first in far east, otherwise northwesterly, backing westerly or southwesterly later, 4 to 6. Moderate or rough. Rain at times, becoming thundery later, fog patches at first in northeast. Moderate or good, occasionally poor, but very poor at first in northeast.

West Central Section

Cyclonic in far northeast, otherwise westerly or northwesterly, 4 to 6, occasionally 7 except in far northeast and far southwest. Moderate or rough. Mainly fair at first in south, otherwise occasional rain or showers, fog patches at first in far northeast. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in north but very poor at first in far northeast.

Denmark Strait

Variable 2 to 4. Slight. Fog patches in west. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor in west.

North Iceland

In east

Cyclonic 3 to 5, occasionally 6 in far southeast. Slight occasionally moderate. Occasional rain or drizzle with fog patches, showers later in south. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor, becoming mainly good later in south.

In west

Northerly or northwesterly 3 to 5, occasionally 6 later in north. Slight occasionally moderate. Occasional rain in east. Good, occasionally moderate.

Norwegian Basin

Variable 2 to 4, becoming cyclonic 4 to 6, occasionally 3 in east. Slight, becoming moderate at times. Occasional rain in far south, rain or drizzle and fog patches in west. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in far south and very poor in west.
