Bailey

Southerly or southwesterly 4 to 6. Moderate or rough. Rain or drizzle at times, fog patches. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

Faeroes

Southerly or southwesterly 4 to 6. Moderate or rough. Rain or drizzle at times, fog patches. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

Southeast Iceland

Cyclonic 3 to 5 becoming southwesterly 4 to 6. Moderate, becoming rough later. Rain then showers, fog patches at first. Moderate to very poor, becoming good.

East Northern Section

In far northwest

Southeasterly becoming cyclonic, then westerly later, 3 or 4. Moderate. Rain or showers. Moderate or good, occasionally poor at first.

In the rest of the area

Southerly or southwesterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 in west. Moderate at first in far east, otherwise rough. Rain at first in north and east, otherwise showers. Moderate or good, occasionally poor at first in north and east.

West Northern Section

In northern half of the area

Cyclonic becoming northwesterly 3 to 5, occasionally 6 at first in west, backing westerly or southwesterly 4 or 5 later. Moderate, occasionally rough at first in west. Rain or showers, becoming fair later, fog patches for a time in far north. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor for a time in far north.

In southern half of the area

Westerly or southwesterly 5 or 6, backing southerly or southwesterly 4 or 5 later in west. Moderate or rough. Showers, becoming fair later. Good occasionally moderate, and then perhaps poor later in far southwest.

East Central Section

Cyclonic, but mainly southerly or southwesterly at first, 3 to 5, occasionally 6 in north and in far south. Moderate or rough in north, moderate throughout in south. Occasional rain or showers, perhaps thundery at first and south and east. Good, occasionally poor except in northwest.

West Central Section

In northern half of the area

Westerly backing southwesterly 4 or 5, occasionally 6 in far north. Rough until later in north and east, otherwise moderate. Showers then fair, then rain, drizzle and fog patches later in far west. Good, occasionally moderate at first, then becoming moderate to very poor later in far west.

In southern half of the area

Cyclonic 3 to 5. Moderate. Showers, mainly in east. Good, occasionally poor in east and moderate in west.

Denmark Strait

In area to the west of 32 west

Cyclonic mainly northeasterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 at first, becoming variable 3 or less, then southwesterly 4 or 5 later. Moderate, occasionally slight later in far west. Occasional rain at first, fog patches. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

In area to the east of 32 west

Variable mainly northeasterly 2 to 4, becoming cyclonic 3 to 5 later. Moderate, occasionally slight in east. Rain or drizzle at times, fog banks, perhaps extensive fog for a time. Moderate to very poor, occasionally good in south.

North Iceland

Southeasterly at first in north, otherwise cyclonic, 3 to 5, occasionally 6 in south. Moderate, occasionally rough later in south. Rain or drizzle and fog banks, but with extensive fog at times except in northeast, then showers later in south. Moderate to very poor, occasionally good at first in northeast, and then becoming good later in south.

Norwegian Basin

Southerly or southwesterly 3 to 5. Moderate, occasionally slight in far east. Rain or drizzle at times, fog patches in west. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in east and very poor in west.
