Cyclonic 4 to 6, occasionally 7 at first, increasing 6 to gale 8 later. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough later in east. Occasional rain, but sleet or snow at times in north and west. Moderate or good, occasionally poor, but very poor in west. Occasional light or moderate icing in far northwest with temperatures ms03 to ms06.
Norwegian Basin
Variable 2 to 4 at first in northeast, otherwise southerly or southeasterly 4 to 6, increasing 6 to gale 8, occasionally severe gale 9 later. Moderate or rough, becoming rough or very rough later except in far east. Fair at first in northeast, otherwise rain or showers, becoming squally at times. Moderate or good, occasionally poor.
Outlook for following 24 hours
Violent storms expected in Denmark Strait with storms in West Northern Section, West Central Section and north Iceland. Risk of storms in Faeroes and Southeast Iceland with severe gales expected in Rockall, Bailey, East Northern Section, East Central Section and Norwegian Basin. Gales expected in Shannon.
