West Northern Section

Variable 2 to 4 at first in far southeast, otherwise cyclonic in northwest and southerly or southwesterly elsewhere, 4 to 6, increasing 7 at times in southwest and later in east. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough later in southwest. Occasional rain in north and far west, but sleet, snow and freezing rain with fog patches in far northwest near greenland. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in north and far west and very poor in far northwest near greenland. Occasional light icing developing near greenland.

East Central Section

In far northwest

Northeasterly 4 or 5, becoming variable 2 to 4. Rough becoming moderate. Mainly fair. Good.

In rest of area

Northerly or northeasterly 6 to gale 8, occasionally severe gale 9 at first in southwest and 5 at first in southeast. Rough or very rough, occasionally high at first in southwest. Occasional rain or showers, squally at times, becoming mainly fair in north and west. Moderate or good, occasionally poor, becoming mainly good in north and west.

West Central Section

In east

Variable 2 to 4 in far north, otherwise easterly or northeasterly 4 to 6, but 6 to gale 8 until later in far southeast. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough in southeast. Mainly fair. Good.

Southeasterly 4 to 6, occasionally 3 in south and 7 in north. Moderate or rough. Fair. Good.

Denmark Strait

Cyclonic 3 to 5, decreasing 2 at times in east. Slight or moderate. Occasional rain, sleet and snow in south. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor in south.

In northeast
