Winds will reach storm force 10 or violent storm force 11 within 150 miles of the centre in the south quadrant between 160800UTC and 161500UTC, and then between 50 and 200 miles from the centre in the southeast quadrant after 161500UTC. Also, westerly or northwesterly winds will reach storm force 10 in the far southwest of West Central Section between 160100UTC and 161100UTC. In addition, northwesterly winds will reach storm force 10 or violent storm force 11 after 160500UTC in the far southwest of West Northern Section, and also after 160800UTC in that part of West Central Section that lies both west of 32 west and north of 51 north. finally, northerly or northeasterly winds will reach storm force 10 at times after 160000UTC in that part of Denmark Strait that lies both east of 24 west and between 67 north and 70 north

West Northern Section

In area to the south of 60 north
Westerly or northwesterly 6 to gale 8, becoming cyclonic 4 to 6 for a time except in far west, then becoming northwesterly severe gale 9 to violent storm 11 in southwest, and also cyclonic severe gale 9 to violent storm 11 for a time later in very far southeast. Very high at first in far east, and also later in far southwest, otherwise very rough or high. Rain, sleet or snow at times. Moderate to very poor.
East Central Section
Westerly 3 to 5 at first in southeast and 6 to gale 8 at first in northeast, otherwise southerly or southwesterly 6 to gale 8, occasionally severe gale 9 in west and north, but increasing storm 10 for a time later in very far northwest, then becoming cyclonic 6 to gale 8 later in west. Very high at first in northeast, otherwise very rough or high. Rain, thundery at times in north and west, and drizzle for a time in southeast, then squally showers later in west, perhaps wintry. Very rough or high, becoming high or very high later. Rain, thundery at times, with sleet or snow in north and west, then squally sleet or snow showers. Moderate or poor, occasionally very poor.
Denmark Strait
Northerly or northeasterly 7 to severe gale 9, occasionally storm 10 in east between 67 north and 70 north, decreasing 6 at times elsewhere. Very rough or high. Sleet or snow at times. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor. Light or moderate icing except in southeast, with temperatures ms02 to ms05, but severe icing at times in east near the ice, with temperatures ms06 to ms08.
North Iceland
In northwestern half of the area
Northerly or northeasterly 6 to gale 8, increasing severe gale 9 at times. Rough or very rough, occasionally high. Snow at times. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor. Light or moderate icing except in far south and far east, with temperatures ms02 to ms05, but severe icing at times near the ice, with temperatures ms06 to ms08.
In southeastern half of the area
Cyclonic 4 to 6, occasionally 7 at first in south, but becoming northeasterly 6 to gale 8 in north. Rough or very rough, becoming high for a time in far southeast. Rain, sleet or snow at times. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.
Norwegian Basin
In western half of the area
Southerly or southwesterly 4 to 6, increasing 7 or gale 8 for a time later in southeast but becoming cyclonic for a time later in west. Rough or very rough becoming very rough or high. Showers, squally or thundery at times, and perhaps wintry. Moderate or poor, occasionally good at first.
In eastern half of the area
Southerly or southeasterly 4 to 6 in far east, but elsewhere southerly or southwesterly 6 to gale 8, increasing severe gale 9 at times. Moderate or rough at first in far east, otherwise mainly rough or very rough, but becoming high later in west. Rain at times, then squally showers. Moderate or good, occasionally poor.

Violent storm force winds expected in Denmark Strait and north Iceland. Storm force winds expected in East Northern Section, West Northern Section, West Central Section and Norwegian Basin. Severe gales expected in Rockall, Bailey, Faeroes, Southeast Iceland and East Central Section. Gales expected in west Sole and Shannon, but with a risk of severe gales in Shannon.
