West Northern Section

Southerly or southwesterly, becoming cyclonic later in west, 4 to 6. Moderate, but moderate or rough at first in north and later in south. Occasional rain, drizzle and fog patches. Moderate or good occasionally very poor.

East Central Section

In northern half of area

Variable 2 to 4. Slight, but moderate in southeast and later in far northwest. Showers, becoming mainly fair. Good occasionally moderate at first.

In southern half of area

Easterly or northeasterly 3 to 5. Moderate in southeast, slight in northwest. Mainly fair. Good.

West Central Section

Easterly or southeasterly 3 or 4 in southeast, otherwise southerly or southeasterly 4 to 6. Slight or moderate in southeast, moderate becoming moderate or rough in northwest. Rain, drizzle and fog patches, perhaps thundery later, in west, mainly fair in east. Moderate or good occasionally very poor in west, good in east.

Denmark Strait

Westerly or southwesterly 4 to 6, but variable 2 to 4 becoming southerly 3 to 5 in far north. Moderate or rough becoming moderate, but slight or moderate just north of iceland and near greenland coast. Occasional drizzle and fog banks, but mainly fair just north of iceland. Moderate to very poor, occasionally good just north of iceland.

North Iceland

Norwegian Basin

Variable 2 to 4 at first in southeast, otherwise westerly or southwesterly, veering northwesterly later, 4 to 6. Moderate, occasionally rough in northwest and slight in southeast. Occasional rain or drizzle, fog patches at first in northwest. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor at first in northwest.
