Westerly or southwesterly winds are expected to reach storm force 10 at times throughout the period between 59 north and 62 north in the west of West Northern Section and between 60 north and 63 north in the east of West Northern Section, and this area then extending into East Northern Section from 192300UTC in area which is both north of 61 north and west of 24 west. Northwesterly winds are also expected to reach storm force 10 or violent storm force 11 throughout the period in area enclosed between 63 and 66 north and west of 37 west in both West Northern Section and Denmark Strait, with this area extending eastwards in both these areas between 63 and 66 north as westerly or southwesterly winds with the eastern boundary reaching 29 west by 200600UTC and 24 west by 201500UTC

Very rough or high, occasionally very high in east and rough in far west. Squally snow showers in east. Moderate or poor, occasionally very poor in east. Light or moderate icing with temperatures ms03 to ms06, but severe or very severe near the ice in west with temperatures ms09 to ms12.

North Iceland
In north
Cyclonic, mainly southwesterly, 6 to gale 8, increasing severe gale 9 at times. Rough or very rough occasionally high. Occasional rain, sleet and snow with fog patches, then snow showers, squally at times. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor. Light or moderate icing developing in north and west with temperatures ms04 to ms07, and light icing developing later elsewhere with temperatures around ms03.
In south
Southwesterly 6 to gale 8, occasionally severe gale 9 in west. Rough or very rough occasionally high. Occasional rain at first in southeast, otherwise squally sleet and snow showers. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor. Occasional light icing developing in west with temperatures around ms03, becoming moderate at times near the ice in far northwest with temperatures around ms05.
Norwegian Basin
Southerly or southwesterly, 4 to 6 at first in southeast, otherwise 6 to gale 8, occasionally severe gale 9 later near the norway coast, decreasing 4 to 6 later in west. Rough or very rough. Mainly fair until later in east, otherwise occasional rain, showers later in northwest. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in west and later in east.
Outlook for following 24 hours
Violent storms expected in West Northern Section and Denmark Strait with storms in East Northern Section and north Iceland. Severe gales expected in Southeast Iceland, East Central Section, West Central Section and Norwegian Basin with gales in Rockall, Bailey and Faeroes.
