Easterly backing northeasterly, then becoming cyclonic later in far south, 6 to gale 8, decreasing 4 to 6 later. Rough, occasionally moderate in northeast and very rough in southwest. Occasional rain, mainly in south, otherwise showers, fog patches until later in far southwest. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in south but very poor until later in far southwest.

West Northern Section

In north

Easterly or northeasterly 4 to 6, becoming variable 2 to 4 later in north. Moderate, occasionally rough in south. Occasional rain or showers, with snow at times near greenland coast, becoming mainly fair later, fog patches in far northwest. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor in far northwest.

In south

Cyclonic becoming northeasterly, 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 at first in east, decreasing 4 at times at first in south then later in north. Rough, occasionally very rough in east. Occasional rain, fog patches in south. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in north and very poor in south.

East Central Section

In north

Cyclonic 4 to 6, occasionally 7 in south and at first in northeast. Rough or very rough. Rain and fog patches at first in north and east, otherwise occasional rain or showers. Moderate or good, occasionally poor but very poor at first in north and east.

In south

Westerly or southwesterly 6 to gale 8, occasionally 5 at first in northeast and later in southwest. Rough or very rough occasionally high. Occasional rain or showers. Moderate or good, occasionally poor.

West Central Section

Cyclonic 4 to 6 in far north, but elsewhere westerly or northwesterly 6 to gale 8, occasionally severe gale 9 at first in east, becoming cyclonic 4 to 6 in west and later in east, decreasing 3 at times later. Very rough or high at first in south, otherwise rough or very rough. Occasional rain or showers, fog patches in north. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in south and very poor in north.

Denmark Strait

Southerly 4 or 5 until later in far northeast and northeasterly 4 to 6 at first in far west, otherwise variable 2 to 4. Slight or moderate. Occasional rain, snow or freezing rain until later in far west, otherwise mainly fair, fog patches. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

North Iceland

In north

Southerly or southeasterly 3 to 5, increasing 6 at times in northwest. Slight, occasionally moderate in east. Mainly fair, occasional drizzle and fog patches later in south and southeast. Good, becoming moderate to very poor later in south and southeast.

In south

Cyclonic at first in far southeast, otherwise easterly or southeasterly, 3 to 5. Slight or moderate. Mainly fair at first in north and west, otherwise occasional rain or drizzle with fog patches, becoming fog banks later. Mainly good at first in north and west, otherwise moderate to very poor, occasionally good.

Norwegian Basin

Cyclonic 3 to 5. Moderate. Occasional rain or showers, fog patches in far northwest. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor in far northwest.
