East Central Section

Cyclonic 5 to 7, becoming westerly or southwesterly 3 to 5 for a time. Moderate or rough, but rough or very rough at first in south. Rain or showers, but rain or drizzle and fog patches later in southwest. Good occasionally moderate, becoming moderate or good occasionally very poor later in southwest.

West Central Section

Cyclonic, mainly southwesterly, 5 to 7. Moderate or rough. Rain or drizzle and fog patches, becoming fog banks for a time in south. Moderate or good occasionally very poor, but moderate to very poor for a time in south.

Denmark Strait

Cyclonic 4 to 6, but northwesterly 6 to gale 8 at first in far northeast, increasing 6 to gale 8 later in southwest, perhaps severe gale 9 later in southwest. Moderate or rough, becoming slight or moderate later in northeast. Occasional rain or drizzle and fog patches, but sleet and freezing rain near greenland coast and showers at times in far south. Moderate occasionally very poor, but moderate or good for a time in far south.

North Iceland

Cyclonic becoming southwesterly 4 to 6, but variable 2 to 4 later in far north. Moderate or rough, becoming slight or moderate later near iceland. Rain, drizzle and fog patches, freezing rain at first in northwest, becoming mainly fair later in south. Moderate to very poor, becoming good occasionally moderate later in south.

Norwegian Basin

Southwesterly 5 or 6, decreasing 2 to 4 later. Rough, becoming moderate later. Showers, occasional rain or drizzle later. Good, becoming moderate or good, occasionally poor later in west.

Outlook for following 24 hours

Risk of severe gales in Denmark Strait and West Northern Section. Gales are expected in Rockall and East Northern Section.
