In southern half of the area

Westerly or southwesterly 5 or 6, occasionally 4 in west. Moderate or rough. Rain or showers. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in far south.

West Northern Section

In northern half of the area

Cyclonic mainly northerly 3 to 5 increasing 6 to gale 8, but becoming variable 2 to 4 later in far west. Moderate, becoming rough or very rough except in far west. Rain at times, mainly in east. Good, occasionally poor in east.

In southern half of the area

Westerly or southwesterly 4 to 6, veering northerly or northwesterly 3 to 5 except in far south. Moderate or rough. Rain or drizzle, with fog patches in west, then showers in north. Moderate or poor, occasionally very poor in west, but becoming good in north.

East Central Section

In area to the north of 52 north

Westerly or southwesterly 4 to 6. Moderate or rough. Rain at times. Good, occasionally moderate.

In area between 50 north and 52 north

Variable 2 to 4. Moderate. Thundery rain later in east, otherwise fair. Good, occasionally poor later in east.

In area to the south of 50 north

Easterly or northeasterly becoming cyclonic, 4 to 6. Moderate or rough. Rain or thundery showers. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in east.

West Central Section

In north

Southerly or southwesterly 4 or 5, occasionally 6 in northeast. Rough until later in far northeast, otherwise slight or moderate. Rain in far north, with fog patches in far northwest, otherwise mainly fair. Moderate or good, becoming poor at times in far north but occasionally very poor in far northwest.

In southeast

Variable 2 to 4. Slight or moderate. Showers at first. Good.

In southwest

Southerly backing southeasterly, 3 to 5. Slight or moderate. Occasional rain in far southwest, otherwise mainly fair. Good, occasionally moderate in far southwest.

Denmark Strait

Northerly or northeasterly 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 in south but becoming variable 2 to 4 near greenland. Moderate or rough, becoming rough or very rough in south. Rain until later in south, otherwise mainly fair. Moderate or good, occasionally poor until later in south.

North Iceland

In northwestern half of the area

Northerly or northeasterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 at first. Moderate or rough. Drizzle, rain or sleet at times, but fair in far northwest. Good, occasionally poor except in far northwest.

In southeastern half of the area

Variable 2 to 4, becoming northerly or northeasterly 5 in north. Slight or moderate. Rain or drizzle at times, fog patches developing in south. Moderate or good, becoming poor at times, but occasionally very poor in south.
