Cyclonic 3 to 5 at first near greenland coast in far south, otherwise northerly or northeasterly 6 to gale 8, increasing severe gale 9 at times in south. Slight or moderate, occasionally rough in south. Rain, snow and freezing rain at times. Moderate to very poor.

In area south of 67 north

Northeasterly 5 to 7, becoming variable 2 to 4 at times near greenland coast, becoming cyclonic 3 to 5 later in far southeast. Moderate or rough. Occasional rain or sleet. Moderate or good, occasionally poor.

North Iceland

In northwestern half of area

Easterly or northeasterly 4 to 6, increasing 7 at times in far west and occasionally 3 in northeast. Slight or moderate, occasionally rough in southwest. Rain or drizzle at times, but occasional freezing rain in west, fog banks in northwest and extensive fog elsewhere. Poor or very poor, occasionally moderate.

In southeastern half of area

Cyclonic 3 to 5, occasionally 6 in northwest. Moderate, occasionally rough in far southeast and in far northwest. Rain or drizzle at times with fog banks. Moderate to very poor, occasionally good in southwest.

Norwegian Basin

Cyclonic mainly southeasterly, becoming southwesterly later, 3 to 5, occasionally 6 in east. Moderate, occasionally slight in east and rough later in west. Rain or drizzle at times, showers later, fog patches until later in south and west. Moderate or good, occasional poor, but very poor until later in south and west.
