Southeast Iceland

Cyclonic 3 to 5, becoming southwesterly 5 or 6. Moderate or rough. Drizzle, fog patches. Good, occasionally very poor.

East Northern Section

Cyclonic in north, otherwise westerly or southwesterly 4 to 6. Moderate or rough. Occasional rain or showers. Moderate or good.

West Northern Section

Variable 2 to 4 in north, otherwise westerly or southwesterly 3 to 5, increasing 5 or 6. Moderate, occasionally slight in north and rough in south. Occasional rain or showers, fog patches later in far northwest. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor later in far northwest.

East Central Section

In northwestern half of the area

Cyclonic 4 or 5, becoming northerly or northwesterly 3 to 5, backing southwesterly later in north. Moderate, occasionally rough at first. Occasional rain or drizzle, becoming fair in northwest. Moderate or good.

In southeastern half of the area

Northerly or northeasterly 3 to 5, occasionally 6 later. Moderate, occasionally slight at first and rough later. Occasional rain or showers, perhaps thundery, fog patches later. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor later.

West Central Section

Westerly or northwesterly, backing westerly or southwesterly later in northwest, 3 to 5, but becoming variable 2 to 4 in southwest. Moderate, occasionally rough at first in far northeast. Occasional drizzle becoming mainly fair. Good, occasionally moderate at first.

Denmark Strait

Variable 2 to 4, but cyclonic 3 to 5 at first in southeast. Slight or moderate, occasionally smooth in north. Occasional drizzle, fog banks. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

North Iceland

Southerly or southeasterly 2 to 4 at first in north, otherwise cyclonic 3 to 5, occasionally 6 in east. Slight or moderate, occasionally rough later in far south. Occasional rain or drizzle, fog banks. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

Norwegian Basin

Cyclonic becoming southwesterly, 4 to 6. Slight or moderate. Drizzle with fog patches then showers. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor at first.
