In southern half of the area

Variable 2 to 4 becoming easterly or southeasterly 4 to 6. Moderate, becoming rough later in west and south. Showers then rain. Good, becoming moderate or good occasionally poor.

West Northern Section

In northern half of the area

Southerly or southwesterly 3 to 5 in northwest but variable mainly northeasterly 2 to 4 in southeast. Moderate becoming slight. Fair. Good.

In southern half of the area

Easterly or northeasterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 later in far south. Moderate or rough. Fair, then rain in south and east, fog patches later in far southeast. Good, becoming moderate or poor in south and east, then occasionally very poor later in far southeast.

East Central Section

Southerly or southeasterly, veering southwesterly in south, 4 to 6, occasionally 7 until later. Moderate or rough. Rain at times, perhaps thundery. Moderate or good, occasionally poor.

West Central Section

Cyclonic 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 except in far south and far east. Moderate or rough at first in far northeast, otherwise rough or very rough. Rain or showers, thundery at times, fog patches in central and northeastern parts. Moderate or good, becoming poor at times, but occasionally very poor in central and northeastern parts.

Denmark Strait

Southwesterly 4 or 5, occasionally 6 at first in south but becoming variable 2 to 4 to the north of 69 north. Slight or moderate. Fair. Good.

North Iceland

In area to the north of 69 north

Variable 3 or 4 at first in southeast, otherwise southwesterly 4 to 6 veering northerly 3 to 5, then becoming variable 2 to 4 later. Slight or moderate. Fair, then occasional rain in east, then wintry showers later in far northeast, fog patches later. Good, occasionally poor, but becoming very poor at times later.

In area to the south of 69 north

Northwesterly 4 to 6 at first in east, otherwise westerly or southwesterly 3 to 5. Rough at first in far southeast, otherwise slight or moderate. Occasional rain at first in far southeast, otherwise mainly fair. Good, occasionally moderate at first in far southeast.

Norwegian Basin

Cyclonic becoming northwesterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 at first in west, decreasing 3 at times in east. Rough until later except in far northeast, otherwise moderate. Rain or showers. Good, occasionally moderate.
