West Northern Section

Cyclonic mainly northerly or northwesterly, 4 to 6, becoming variable 2 to 4 in west. Slight or moderate in far northwest, but elsewhere moderate or rough. Rain or drizzle at times, mainly in east, fog patches in east and in far northwest. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor in east and in far northwest.

East Central Section

In northern half of the area

Southwesterly becoming cyclonic, 4 to 6. Rough, becoming moderate later. Rain or showers, perhaps thundery in east. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in east.

In southern half of the area

Cyclonic 3 to 5, becoming westerly or northwesterly 2 to 4 later. Moderate or rough, becoming moderate. Thundery rain or showers, but becoming mainly fair in west. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in east.

West Central Section

In northeastern half of the area

Cyclonic becoming northwesterly 4 to 6, backing westerly 2 to 4 later. Moderate or rough, becoming moderate later. Rain or showers, perhaps thundery at first, becoming fair later. Good, occasionally poor at first and moderate later.

In southwestern half of the area

Northwesterly becoming variable 2 to 4, then becoming southeasterly 4 to 6 later. Moderate or rough, becoming moderate. Fair, but then rain later in far southwest. Good, occasionally moderate later in far southwest.

Denmark Strait

Easterly or northeasterly 3 to 5 backing northerly or northeasterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 later in east, perhaps gale 8 later in east between 68 north and 70 north. Slight or moderate, becoming moderate or rough to the south of 70 north. Occasional rain in east and south, fog banks until later. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor until later.

North Iceland

In far northeast

Northwesterly 4 or 5 becoming variable 2 to 4. Moderate, occasionally slight later. Mainly fair. Good.

In the rest of the area

Easterly or southeasterly 3 to 5, veering southerly 4 or 5 in far southeast but backing easterly or northeasterly 4 to 6 elsewhere. Moderate in east, but in west, slight or moderate, becoming moderate or rough later. Rain spreading northwards, fog banks except in northeast. Moderate or good in northeast, but elsewhere moderate to very poor.
