In area to the south of 71 north

Cyclonic becoming easterly or northeasterly, 4 to 6, increasing 6 to gale 8 within 100 miles of greenland, then occasionally severe gale 9 later near greenland. Moderate or rough, becoming very rough or high later within 100 miles of greenland. Showers then rain, with sleet developing near greenland, fog patches. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

In area to the north of 71 north

Northeasterly 4 to 6 becoming variable 2 to 4. Moderate or rough becoming slight or moderate. Occasional rain or sleet, mainly in south, fog patches developing in south. Good, becoming moderate to very poor in south.

North Iceland

In northwestern half of the area

Northerly 6 to gale 8 at first in far northwest, otherwise cyclonic 4 to 6, becoming northerly or northeasterly later. Moderate or rough.
