Denmark Strait

Cyclonic 4 to 6 at first in northeast, otherwise northeasterly 7 to severe gale 9, occasionally storm 10 in southwest. Moderate at first in northeast, otherwise rough or very rough, occasionally high in south. Occasional sleet or snow showers. Good, occasionally poor in north and very poor in south. Light or moderate icing expected within 100 miles of the greenland coast with temperatures of ms03 to ms06.

North Iceland

In north

Westerly or southwesterly 4 to 6, becoming variable 2 to 4, then cyclonic 3 to 5 later. Moderate or rough becoming slight or moderate. Fair then snow showers. Good, occasionally poor. Moderate icing expected at first in northeast, and then later near 69 north in far west, with temperatures of ms04 to ms06.

In south

Variable 2 to 4 at first in northeast, otherwise southeasterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 in southwest, backing easterly 5 to 7 later, occasionally gale 8 later in south, perhaps severe gale 9 later in far south. Moderate or rough, becoming very rough later in south. Fair then sleet and snow showers. Good, occasionally very poor.

Norwegian Basin

Westerly 3 to 5 at first in far northeast, otherwise northerly or northeasterly, veering easterly or southeasterly later, 5 to 7, occasionally 4 at first, increasing gale 8 at times later in west. Rough, occasionally very rough later in west. Wintry showers, becoming squally at times. Good, occasionally poor.

Outlook for following 24 hours

Storms expected in Southeast Iceland, East Northern Section, West Northern Section, East Central Section and West Central Section with severe gales expected in Faeroes, Denmark Strait, north Iceland and Norwegian Basin. Gales expected in all other areas.
