West Northern Section

Occasional rain or drizzle and fog patches in west, freezing rain for a time in far northwest, otherwise fair. Moderate or good occasionally very poor in west, good in east.

East Central Section

Variable 2 to 4 at first in south, otherwise easterly 5 to 7, becoming cyclonic, mainly easterly, 6 to gale 8, occasionally severe gale 9 later in southeast. Rough or very rough. Mainly fair in far north, otherwise rain or showers, thundery in southwest. Good in far north, otherwise moderate or good, occasionally poor.

West Central Section

Cyclonic 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 at first in west, becoming easterly or northeasterly 4 to 6, increasing 6 to gale 8 later in east. Rough or very rough, occasionally moderate in west. Rain or showers, thundery in southeast. Moderate or good, occasionally poor.

Denmark Strait

Variable 2 to 4 at first in south, otherwise southwesterly 5 to 7, but 7 or gale 8 in northeast. Moderate or rough, occasionally slight north of Iceland. Fog patches, but fog banks in northwest, rain, and freezing rain for a time, in far west. Moderate or good occasionally very poor.

North Iceland

Westerly or southwesterly 6 to gale 8, but variable 2 to 4 in far south and later in far north. Moderate or rough, but slight or moderate at first in south. Fog patches in south, mainly fair in north. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor in south.

Norwegian Basin

Northwesterly, veering westerly later in north, 3 to 5. Slight or moderate. Showers and fog patches until later. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor until later.

Outlook for following 24 hours

Storms are expected in East Central Section. Severe gales are expected in Sole and West Central Section, with a risk of gales in Shannon. Gales are expected in Denmark Strait and north Iceland.
