West Northern Section

Cyclonic 6 to gale 8, becoming southerly or southwesterly 4 to 6 later, but variable 2 to 4 later in southeast. Moderate or rough, but rough or very rough in northeast. Occasional rain. Good occasionally moderate, but poor at first in north.

East Central Section

In northwestern half of area

Variable becoming northeasterly, 2 to 4. Slight or moderate. Occasional drizzle and fog banks, becoming fog patches later. Moderate to very poor, occasionally good later.

In southeastern half of area

West Central Section

Variable 2 to 4, but cyclonic 4 to 6 in southwest. Moderate. Fog patches at first in northeast, otherwise occasional rain and drizzle, but thundery rain in far southwest. Moderate or good, occasionally poor, but very poor at first in northeast.

Denmark Strait

Cyclonic, becoming southwesterly, 4 to 6, increasing 7 for a time near west iceland. Moderate becoming rough, but slight or moderate in far east. Rain, drizzle and fog patches, becoming fog banks in north. Moderate to very poor, occasionally good in southeast.

North Iceland

In south

Southwesterly 4 to 6, but variable 2 or 3 at first near northeast iceland. Slight or moderate in west, moderate or rough in east. Mainly fair in west, drizzle and fog banks developing in east. Good in west, moderate to very poor in east.

Westerly or southwesterly, but northerly in southeast, 3 to 5. Slight or moderate. Occasional drizzle, fog patches in north and east. Moderate or good, occasionally poor and very poor in north and east.
