In far northwest

Northerly 5 to 7, increasing gale 8 at times. Rough or very rough. Showers. Moderate or good.

In the rest of the area

Cyclonic 2 to 4, becoming northerly or northeasterly 3 to 5 in south. Moderate, occasionally rough at first in far northeast and far southwest. Showers, perhaps thundery, and occasional rain in east. Good, occasionally poor.

West Northern Section

In eastern half of the area

Northwesterly at first in far south, otherwise northerly or northeasterly, 4 to 6, occasionally 7 at first in far northeast, then decreasing 3 or 4 later except in far northeast. Moderate or rough. Showers, perhaps thundery at first in south, then becoming fair later in south. Good, occasionally moderate.

In western half of the area

Northwesterly 5 or 6 at first in southeast, otherwise variable 2 to 4, but becoming southeasterly 5 later in far southwest. Rough at first in south, otherwise moderate. Mainly fair. Good.

East Central Section

In northeastern half of the area

Variable 2 to 4 until later in north, otherwise cyclonic 4 to 6. Moderate, occasionally rough in south. Rain or thundery showers. Good, occasionally poor.

In southwestern half of the area

Northerly or northwesterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 later. Moderate or rough. Showers, occasionally thundery at first in east. Good, becoming moderate at times, but occasionally poor at first in east.

West Central Section

In eastern half of the area

Northwesterly 5 or 6, veering northerly 4 or 5 later in north. Moderate or rough. Showers, becoming fair later in north. Good, occasionally moderate.

In western half of the area

Northwesterly 4 or 5, occasionally 6 at first in northeast, becoming variable 2 to 4, then cyclonic 4 to 6 later. Moderate, occasionally rough in north. Mainly fair, then rain later, perhaps thundery. Good, occasionally poor later.

Variable 2 to 4, becoming southwesterly 3 to 5 later. Moderate or rough. Fair. Good.

In area to the east of 29 west

Mainly northerly or northeasterly 6 to gale 8, occasionally severe gale 9 at first, but cyclonic 3 to 5 in far southeast and variable 2 to 4 in far north, and also near greenland to the west of 25 west. Mainly rough or very rough, but slight or moderate in far north and moderate or rough in far southeast. Occasional rain, but fair in far north. Good in far north, but elsewhere moderate or good, occasionally poor.

North Iceland

In area to the north of 73 north

Variable 2 to 4, becoming easterly 5 later in southeast. Slight, becoming moderate in south and east. Mainly fair. Good.

In area to the south of 73 north

Northeasterly 6 to gale 8 until later in western and central areas, otherwise cyclonic 3 to 5. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough in west. Rain or drizzle at times, fog patches, then fog banks later. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

Norwegian Basin

Southerly or southeasterly 3 to 5 in far west, but elsewhere variable 2 to 4. Moderate, becoming slight later in south and east. Fog patches at first in northwest. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor at first in northwest.
