West Northern Section

Cyclonic 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 later in northwest. Moderate or rough, but rough or very rough later in southeast. Rain and drizzle in north, occasional rain or showers in south, perhaps thundery later in southeast. Moderate or good occasionally poor in north, good occasionally poor in south.

East Central Section

Southerly or southwesterly becoming cyclonic, 4 to 6, but variable 2 to 4 until later in southeast. Moderate or rough, but slight or moderate in far southeast. Thundery rain, drizzle and fog patches, but occasional drizzle in southeast and later in northwest. Moderate or good occasionally very poor, but good occasionally moderate in southeast and later in northwest.

West Central Section

Cyclonic 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 at first in west, becoming westerly 4 to 6 later. Moderate or rough, but rough or very rough at first in west. Occasional rain or showers. Good occasionally moderate.

In south of area

Cyclonic 4 to 6 at first in east, otherwise westerly or southwesterly 3 to 5. Moderate occasionally rough. Thundery rain, drizzle and fog patches at first in east, then showers. Moderate or good occasionally very poor at first in east, otherwise good occasionally moderate.

Denmark Strait

Northeasterly 4 to 6, becoming cyclonic 5 to 7 for a time in far west, then variable 2 to 4 later in east. Slight or moderate, but moderate or rough in south. Occasional rain and drizzle, fog banks at first in north, then fog patches in north and west. Moderate to very poor, occasionally good in south.

North Iceland

In north of area

Variable 2 to 4, but southerly 4 or 5 at first in far northwest. Slight or moderate. Fog banks, rain and drizzle in west, occasional drizzle and fog patches in east. Moderate to very poor in west, moderate or good occasionally very poor in east.
