Easterly or northeasterly winds will continue to reach storm force 10 or violent storm force 11 within 100 miles of the greenland coast between 64 north and 67 north in both West Northern Section and Denmark Strait until 180400UTC, and also storm force 10 at times within 50 miles of the greenland coast between 67 north and 68 north in Denmark Strait between 180100UTC and 181200UTC. Also, westerly or southwesterly winds will reach storm force 10 at times in the northwest of West Central Section between 180300UTC and 181000UTC, and in the far southwest of West Northern Section between 181100UTC and 181500UTC. Finally, southeasterly winds will reach storm force 10 until 180200UTC in that part of the northern half of East Northern Section that lies to the west of 24 west, and also in that part of West Northern Section that lies both north of 61 north and east of 33 west

Very rough or high. Rain at first in north and east, with sleet or snow in far northwest, otherwise squally sleet or snow showers. Moderate to very poor. Light or moderate icing at first in far northwest, and also light icing for a time at first in far southwest.

Moderate at first in northeast, otherwise rough or very rough, but becoming high in northwest. Fair at first in far east, otherwise rain then showers, becoming squally and wintry in north. Good at first in far east, otherwise moderate or poor, occasionally good in south.

West Central Section

Westerly or southwesterly 7 to severe gale 9, occasionally 6 in south but increasing storm 10 for a time in northwest. Rough at first in far southeast, otherwise very rough or high in south and east and high or very high in north and west. Rain at first in far southeast, otherwise squally sleet or snow showers in north and west, then rain or sleet later in west. Poor or very poor in northwest but moderate or poor in southeast.

Denmark Strait

In area to the west of 24 west

Mainly cyclonic 7 to severe gale 9, but within 100 miles of the greenland coast, northeasterly gale 8 to storm 10 at first, and occasionally violent storm 11 at first in west, then decreasing 4 to 6 later except in northeast. Very rough or high in far south, but elsewhere moderate or rough. Rain, sleet, snow or freezing rain, fog patches. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor. Mainly light or moderate icing near the ice, with temperatures ms02 to ms05, but locally severe icing at first in west near the ice, with temperatures around ms06.

In area to the east of 24 west

Cyclonic 4 to 6. Slight or moderate becoming moderate or rough. Sleet, snow or freezing rain at times in north, fog patches developing. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor. Light or moderate icing developing near the ice, with temperatures ms03 to ms06.

North Iceland

In area to the north of 60 north

Southerly or southwesterly, backing southeasterly later in south, 3 to 5, increasing 6 in north. Slight or moderate. Mainly fair, then snow or freezing rain at times, fog banks developing. Good, becoming moderate to very poor. Light icing at times in north, with temperatures ms02 to ms05.

In area to the south of 60 north

Variable 2 to 4 at first in east, otherwise southeasterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 in west. Slight or moderate becoming moderate or rough. Occasional drizzle or showers, wintry at times, fog banks. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

Norwegian Basin

In area to the west of 05 east

Southerly or southeasterly 3 or 4 increasing 4 to 6. Moderate, becoming rough later in south. Showers, then rain later. Good, occasionally poor later.

In area to the east of 05 east

Variable becoming mainly southeasterly, 3 or 4. Moderate, becoming slight later. Showers, becoming fair later. Good.

Outlook for following 24 hours

Storm force winds expected in Denmark Strait. Severe gales expected in East Northern Section, West Northern Section, East Central Section and West Central Section. Gales expected in Bailey, Southeast Iceland, the southwest of sea area north Iceland and the south of Norwegian Basin. Risk of gales at first in northeast Rockall.
