In northwest
Cyclonic 3 to 5 becoming southerly or southwesterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 later. Rough or very rough. Mainly fair at first in northeast, otherwise rain, fog patches later. Moderate or good at first in northeast, otherwise moderate or poor, occasionally very poor later.
Denmark Strait
Mainly northerly or northeasterly 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 in east, but variable 2 to 4 until later to the south of 69 north within 150 miles of the greenland coast. Moderate or rough. Sleet or snow at times, and perhaps some freezing rain in east. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor. Light or moderate icing at times except in far southeast, with temperatures ms03 to ms06.
North Iceland
In western half of the area
Northerly or northeasterly 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 at first in far west, decreasing 4 at times later in south. Moderate or rough. Sleet, snow and perhaps also some freezing rain at times. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor. Light or moderate icing at times in north and west, with temperatures ms03 to ms06.
In eastern half of the area
Cyclonic, but mainly northeasterly at first, 3 to 5, occasionally 6 in northwest. Moderate in north, mainly moderate or rough in south, but very rough at first in far southeast. Rain or drizzle at times, fog banks. Moderate to very poor, occasionally good in southeast. Light or moderate icing in far northwest, with temperatures ms03 to ms06.
Norwegian Basin
In area to the west of 03 east
Cyclonic 3 to 5 becoming variable 3 or less. Rough or very rough becoming moderate or rough. Rain then showers, perhaps thundery, fog patches at first in far west. Moderate or good, becoming poor at times, but occasionally very poor at first in far west.
In area to the east of 03 east
Southerly or southeasterly mainly 4 to 6, but southerly or southwesterly 6 to gale 8 at first in west, becoming variable 2 to 4 later.
