East Northern Section

In area north of 61 north

Easterly or northeasterly, 7 to severe gale 9 at first in east, otherwise 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 until later in south, veering easterly or southeasterly 3 to 5 later. Rough or very rough at first in south, otherwise moderate or rough. Fair at first in far northwest, otherwise rain at times with fog patches. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

In rest of area

Cyclonic 3 to 5, occasionally 6 at first in far southeast and far north. Rough, occasionally very rough at first in far north. Occasional rain or drizzle with fog patches. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

West Northern Section

In north

Northeasterly 5 to 7, becoming cyclonic 3 to 5 later in southeast. Rough, occasionally moderate in far northwest and very rough at first elsewhere. Mainly fair until later in north and west, otherwise occasional rain, fog patches later in east. Good until later in north and west, otherwise moderate or good, occasionally poor, but very poor later in east.

In south

Northerly at first in west, otherwise cyclonic, 3 to 5, increasing 6 at times in northwest. Rough. Mainly fair until later in far southwest, otherwise occasional rain, fog patches developing in east. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor in east.

East Central Section

Cyclonic 3 to 5 in far northwest, otherwise southerly or southwesterly 4 to 6. Rough, occasionally very rough at first, becoming moderate at times later in southeast. Showers, perhaps thundery at first in northeast, then occasional rain or drizzle and fog patches in southwest and also later elsewhere. Moderate or good, occasionally poor at first in northeast, becoming moderate to very poor in southwest and also later elsewhere.

West Central Section

Cyclonic 4 to 6, decreasing 3 at times in north, occasionally 7 later in far southwest. Rough, occasionally moderate in west and north, becoming rough or very rough later in far southwest. Occasional rain, drizzle or showers, fog patches. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor.

Denmark Strait

Southerly 3 to 5 in far northeast, otherwise easterly or northeasterly 5 to 7, decreasing 4 at times near coasts, perhaps gale 8 later in south. Slight or moderate in north, moderate or rough in south. Mainly fair throughout in far northeast, otherwise wintry showers, then occasional rain in southeast, and rain, sleet and snow with fog patches later elsewhere. Moderate or good, occasionally poor in southeast and very poor later elsewhere except in far northeast.

North Iceland

In north

Variable 2 to 4, becoming southerly or southwesterly 3 to 5, occasionally 6 later in northwest. Slight or moderate. Showers later in southeast. Good.

In south

Cyclonic 3 to 5, becoming easterly or northeasterly 4 to 6 in far north. Moderate, occasionally rough at first in north. Occasional rain or drizzle and fog patches, becoming mainly fair in far northeast. Moderate or good, occasionally very poor, becoming mainly good in far northeast.
