Northwesterly 5 to 7 at first in east, occasionally gale 8 at first in far east, otherwise variable 2 to 4, becoming cyclonic 4 to 6, increasing 7 at times later. Moderate or rough, occasionally very rough at first in far east. Mainly fair, then rain at times, fog patches developing. Good, becoming moderate to very poor.
Denmark Strait
Cyclonic 3 to 5 in far southeast, otherwise northerly or northeasterly becoming cyclonic, 5 to 7, occasionally gale 8 until later, decreasing 4 at times later. Slight in far north, otherwise moderate occasionally rough. Occasional rain or sleet, but freezing rain at times near greenland coast in north, fog patches mainly near greenland, then showers in far south. Moderate or poor, occasionally very poor mainly near greenland, becoming moderate or good in far south.
North Iceland
In northwestern half of area
Variable 2 to 4 in far northwest, but elsewhere easterly or northeasterly 5 to 7, decreasing 3 to 5, occasionally 2 later. Slight or moderate, occasionally rough at first in south. Occasional rain with fog banks, but freezing rain at times in far northwest, becoming mainly fair later in far south. Moderate to very poor, becoming moderate or good later in far south.
In southeastern half of area
Cyclonic, becoming mainly westerly or southwesterly later, 4 to 6, decreasing 3 at times. Moderate or rough. Rain and fog banks, becoming mainly fair in far south. Moderate to very poor, becoming moderate or good in far south.
Norwegian Basin
Southerly or southwesterly 4 to 6, occasionally 7 at first in west. Moderate or rough. Occasional rain or showers, fog patches at first in northeast. Moderate or good, occasionally poor but very poor at first in northeast.
