General situation

An area of low pressure will continue to move eastwards over the British Isles tonight, bringing further rain and showers, though it will be generally drier towards the southeast. A second low will then approach the northwest on Wednesday bringing rain and drizzle, strengthening winds, and gales to northern waters later on Wednesday into Thursday.

Cape Wrath to Rattray Head including Orkney - Strong wind warning

24 hour forecast: Variable 2 to 4, becoming south or southeast 4 to 6 later. Slight or moderate until later in northwest, otherwise smooth or slight. Showers, fog patches in east, rain later. Moderate or good, occasionally poor but very poor at first in east.
