High pressure will be centred close to the United Kingdom over the next couple of days, bringing largely settled conditions, however a low to the southwest of Iceland will maintain a fresh southwesterly flow with occasional rain or drizzle to the far northwest today and tomorrow.
Cape Wrath to Rattray Head including Orkney
24 hour forecast: Variable 2 to 4, becoming westerly or southwesterly 3 to 5, but variable 2 to 4 at times in southeast. Slight or moderate in the northwest, smooth or slight in the southeast. Fog patches at first to the far northeast of Orkney, otherwise occasional rain or drizzle in northwest, mainly fair elsewhere. Moderate occasionally very poor at first to the far northeast of Orkney, otherwise good, occasionally moderate in northwest.
