An Atlantic front will bring some outbreaks of rain to northwestern coasts for the rest of today. A ridge of high pressure will then build in from the west tomorrow and Wednesday, however further showers are possible away from the southwest.

Cape Wrath to Rattray Head including Orkney

24 hour forecast: Westerly 3 to 5 at first in north, otherwise variable 2 to 4. Slight or moderate, occasionally rough at first in far northwest and slight in Moray Firth. Rain at first. Moderate or good, occasionally poor at first, becoming good.

Rattray Head to Berwick upon Tweed
