General situation
High pressure over northern europe and low pressure over the northeast Atlantic will bring a mainly southerly or southeasterly airflow over most of the inshore waters. Mainly fair conditions will continue in most places, although there will be some occasional rain or showers in the north and northwest.
Cape Wrath to Rattray Head including Orkney
24 hour forecast: South or southeast 3 or 4, increasing 5 at times near Rattray Head, becoming variable 2 to 4 later. Smooth or slight in Moray Firth, but elsewhere slight or moderate. Occasional rain or showers, perhaps thundery later. Good, occasionally moderate at first and poor later.
