General situation

The south to southwesterly airflow currently affecting the United Kingdom will bring strong winds to the coastal waters with a risk of gales in the north and west. There will be further rain or showers, especially in the west. High pressure will then build across the British Isles overnight and into Tuesday bringing more settled and quieter conditions with lighter winds.

Cape Wrath to Rattray Head including Orkney - Strong wind warning

24 hour forecast: Southeasterly veering southwesterly, then westerly later, 4 to 6, occasionally 7 at first, then decreasing 3 at times in south. Moderate, occasionally slight in Moray Firth and rough elsewhere. Occasional rain, showers later. Moderate or good.
