General situation
The strong showery westerly flow currently affecting the United Kingdom will gradually ease as a weak ridge moves across from the west. However strong locally gale force southeasterly winds will develop across southwestern areas on Friday evening as an Atlantic low approaches southern Ireland.
Cape Wrath to Rattray Head including Orkney - Strong wind warning
