General situation

A slow moving area of low pressure centred to the southwest of the United Kingdom will maintain a mainly easterly flow across the inshore waters, and frontal systems moving northwestwards will carry outbreaks of rain and stronger winds across western and southern parts through Friday night and into Saturday.

Cape Wrath to Rattray Head including Orkney
