Very cold start, with the odd patch of freezing fog in prone valleys. Staying cold and largely sunny, although perhaps with an isolated coastal wintry shower. The odd spot inland staying below freezing. Breezy at times, particularly along the coast. Maximum temperature 3 °C.
Another very cold night, with a widespread frost, and some rural areas potentially seeing minimums in the negative double figures of Celsius. The odd patch of freezing fog again forming. Minimum temperature -12 °C.
A very similar day to Thursday, with early very cold weather and isolated freezing fog patches followed by sunny spells and isolated coastal wintry showers. Staying cold. Maximum temperature 3 °C.
Cold and dry Saturday, with widespread frost and temperatures around or just above freezing by day. Freezing fog patches possible. Temperatures gradually recovering Sunday and Monday, but otherwise little change.
