Met Office Hadley Centre for Climate Science and Services
The Met Office Hadley Centre is the UK's primary source of climate change information
Our aim is to provide climate science and services to people and organisations, so they can make better decisions to stay safe and thrive. We do this by working with partners around the globe, carrying out world leading research to:
- Monitor changes in the climate
- Understand and determine the cause of these changes
- Develop state-of-the-art computer models for climate predictions and projections
- Serve the needs of UK government and develop services with end-users
Since our foundation in 1990, the Met Office Hadley Centre has been recognised as a global partner of choice for climate science and services.
It has contributed to all six Assessment Reports by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and produced more than 2,200 scientific peer-reviewed articles since 1990.
