A cloudy start with outbreaks of rain, but soon brightening up in the west with sunny intervals and the odd shower, these brighter conditions reaching the east in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Thursday bright with sunny spells and the odd shower. Heavy rain on Thursday night clearing during Friday, windy. Bright with some showers on Saturday.

Changeable and at times unsettled, with weather systems spreading in from the Atlantic. These will bring spells of rain, heavy at times, together with a risk of strong winds or gales. Between systems it will be drier and brighter with some sunshine, but also with a few showers in places.
