Mostly cloudy in the morning but chance of with a few bright spells. Patchy rain in the west at first, or perhaps some heavier showers, will spread to all parts through the day. Light southerly winds. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy with outbreaks of rain through the evening. Staying overcast overnight, and becoming largely dry but still the odd spot of rain possible in the northeast. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Sunday:

Largely dry and settled conditions for Sunday. After quite a cloudy start some bright or sunny spells are likely to break out. Feeling a bit warmer than Saturday. Maximum temperature 22 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Dry and warm Monday morning with sunny spells. Rain for a time in the afternoon and evening. Sunny spells and showers on Tuesday. Showers or longer spells of rain Wednesday.

Low pressure is expected to dominate this forecast period, with bands of rain and showers, perhaps slow moving at times which could bring some fairly wet days for some places. That being said there will be a good deal of dry weather in between showers and frontal bands of rain. Winds could be strong at times, especially around coasts as low pressure systems move through. As has been the case over the last few days, and normal for the time of year, confidence in details is lower than average. This is due to the activity in the tropical Atlantic, and how any systems move into mid-latitudes to help develop further low pressure systems which may affect the UK. Temperatures should be around average, still feeling pleasant enough during drier spells.

Most signs indicate low pressure will continue to dominate, and therefore unsettled or changeable weather looks more likely. This brings potential for periods of strong winds and spells of rain, but with spells of fair weather in between. Confidence through this period remains low. Temperatures are likely to be near to, or slightly above average overall.
