A mixture of bright spells and blustery showers, some heavy. A windy day too with fresh to strong southwesterly winds, with gales towards the north coast in the morning. The winds easing later. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

Occasional showers will continue this evening and tonight especially over the north and west, but with some drier and clearer intervals too. Moderate to fresh southwesterly winds. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Wednesday:

A few light showers possible in the morning then becoming dry and bright with some sunny intervals. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Thursday will be mainly dry, though quite cloudy with a few light showers. Some sunshine around too. Cloudy on Friday and Saturday with occasional rain, perhaps brighter later Saturday.

Pressure is set to build in the vicinity of the UK as we move into early November, with a lot of dry weather as a result. Before this occurs, a weather front bringing some rain will be in place across some western and northern areas at the very start of this period, but is likely to weaken quickly as high pressure takes charge. Within the high pressure, some places, perhaps more likely towards the east, will likely see overnight and morning fog, which at this time of year could take a while to clear and where it lingers, it will remain chilly. Otherwise, temperatures generally fairly close to average for most during this period.

Probably largely settled at first, perhaps with some chilly nights. Moving further into November, there is an increased chance of more unsettled conditions developing, with a return to spells of rain and potential for strong winds. However, the extent and location of wettest or windiest areas is uncertain. Overall, temperatures will probably be near or a little above average.
