Mostly dry with clear intervals in the evening. Staying mostly dry overnight with clear spells, allowing some mist and fog patches to form. Rather cold. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Thursday:

Any isolated mist and fog soon clearing to a dry day with long sunny spells before clouding over towards the evening. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Breezy with rain early Friday clearing to mostly dry conditions and sunny spells. Spells of heavy rain over the weekend with winds strengthening and bringing a risk of gales.

Changeable and at times unsettled, with weather systems spreading in from the Atlantic. These will bring spells of rain, heavy at times, together with a risk of strong winds or gales. Between systems it will be drier and brighter with some sunshine, but also with a few showers in places. Further into the period there is a chance that the weather patterns could become more slowly evolving for a time. This may lead to more in the way of settled weather, especially in the east, but this is uncertain. Temperatures may be slightly below normal at first, but are likely to rise above average later.
