Dry and bright in the east in the morning, a few showers in west. Bright or sunny spells and scattered showers everywhere in the afternoon, heavy and thundery at times. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Bright or sunny spells and scattered showers on Tuesday and Wednesday, heavy and thundery at times. Turning windier with widespread cloud and rain arriving from the west on Thursday.

The wettest conditions will be in the northwest, with more in the way of drier interludes in the southeast. Strong winds may affect parts of the UK at times, especially the northwest. Higher pressure and more settled conditions will likely become more established through the period, initially in the east or southeast, but perhaps becoming more widespread.
