Showers fading for a time this evening, especially in the east, but a band of more persistent rain will gradually move across Wales overnight which could be heavy at times. Winds easing a little, but staying blustery along coasts. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Monday:

A wet start to Monday with rain giving way to a mix of sunshine and showers. The showers potentially turning heavy and thundery at times. Staying breezy, especially near coasts. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Remaining unsettled throughout with further spells of rain and showers. The rain will be heavy at times, but some drier and sunnier interludes will develop. Temperatures around average.

This will mean showers or longer spells of rain will affect much of the UK at times. Some heavy rain or showers are expected in places, most often in the west. Thunderstorms and hail are also possible, as are some spells of strong winds if any deep areas of low pressure form in the vicinity of the UK. Some short-lived spells of drier and more settled weather are also possible at times, especially early and again late in the period, when they may last a little longer. Temperatures will likely be close to average or slightly below overall, but may rise above at times in any drier, sunnier spells.
