Patches of low cloud and any fog will soon clear to leave a dry day across the country. There will be some decent spells of sunshine, and with light winds it will feel very warm again in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 27 °C.

Tonight:

It will be a dry evening with clear periods. Cloud will gradually increase from the north overnight, perhaps bringing the odd spot of drizzle later. Staying quite warm. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Saturday:

Some sunshine will develop on Saturday morning, though cloud is set to increase from the north later, with some showery rain developing for the afternoon. Still warm, though rather breezy. Maximum temperature 24 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Sunday will be a fresher, still breezy day with sunshine and scattered showers. Some sunshine at times early next week too, though patchy rain is possible, chiefly in the north.

Dry at first across the south with long sunny periods, where it will also be very warm. Cloudier in the north with some outbreaks of rain, which could be heavy in places, and temperatures nearer normal. It will probably become more changeable thereafter, with potential for an area of low pressure to move close to or across the UK at the end of July or early August. This could bring spells of heavy rain and perhaps some strong winds for a time. It may become more settled again toward the end of the first week of August.

Dry and settled conditions will probably dominate much of this period with high pressure patterns tending to affect the UK. This may be interrupted at times by Atlantic frontal systems, especially in the north, or thunderstorms in the south. However, overall rainfall amounts will likely be below normal. Temperatures will probably be above normal and some spells of hot weather and heatwaves are possible, especially in the south.
