Sunday will get off to a cloudy and breezy start with some showery rain. The showers will become more scattered through the morning and for the afternoon, with some warm brighter spells developing at times. Maximum temperature 22 °C.

Tonight:

There will be bright spells and a few showers to end the day. Clear spells will develop overnight, with isolated showers lingering in the north. Remaining fairly breezy, though mild. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Monday:

Apart from an early light shower in the north, Monday promises to be generally dry with bright or sunny spells. Feeling quite warm in the westerly breeze. Maximum temperature 22 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Bar an isolated shower, the weather looks mostly dry and settled during the period. There will be plenty of sunshine, and it will feel increasing warm again in lighter winds.

Mostly dry away from the north and northwest where scattered showers are expected. There is a small chance that some other western parts could see some rain by the end of the weekend. Temperatures ranging from around average in the NW to warm in the southeast, perhaps becoming very warm in the southeast through the weekend. It will probably become more changeable thereafter, with potential for an area of low pressure to move close to or across the UK early in August. This could bring spells of heavy rain and perhaps some strong winds for a time. It may become more settled again toward the end of the first week of August.

Dry and settled conditions will probably dominate much of this period with high pressure patterns tending to affect the UK. This may be interrupted at times by Atlantic frontal systems, especially in the north, or thunderstorms in the south. However, overall rainfall amounts will likely be below normal. Temperatures will probably be above normal and some spells of hot weather and heatwaves are possible, especially in the south.
