Overcast at first with rain continuing to move eastwards through the morning. Some drier, brighter periods for a time, though showers soon returning by the afternoon, these heavy at times. Warm, humid, and becoming rather breezy, especially along the coast. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

Widespread and persistent rain arrives from the west, with heavy outbreaks at times overnight. Increasingly windy, with rain turning showery by dawn, but remaining mild and overcast. Minimum temperature 14 °C.

Sunday:

Cloudy at first but turning brighter into the afternoon with a few scattered showers, these perhaps heavy. Windier and slightly cooler than Saturday, especially along the coasts. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Remaining unsettled with a mixture of sunshine and showers by day and periods of more prolonged rain overnight. Remaining breezy, especially in the showers. Temperatures near or slightly below average.

Likely continuing changeable with further frontal systems running east into the UK bringing further spells of rain, with showery interludes in-between. Strong winds may also develop at times, particularly in the north and northwest. With time the signs are that systems will increasingly track to the northwest of the country, with the south starting to see longer, drier interludes while the northwest continues to see more in the way of rain and at times strong winds, Temperatures are expected to be slightly above average overall, but will be cooler in any prolonged periods of rainfall. Meanwhile there is the possibility of some very warm, perhaps hot conditions developing, especially in the south and these bring with them the chance of thunderstorms.

Changeable weather across the UK with a mixture of Atlantic weather systems moving in from the west interspersed with dry and sunny periods. Wetter conditions tending to be across the northwest of the UK, with the south and southeast likely to see more in the way of dry weather, Temperatures are most likely to be near normal or slightly above in the north and west, perhaps with some hot spells at times, especially across the south.
