Dry with clear spells this evening. Becoming cloudy with outbreaks of rain soon arriving, some heavier bursts are likely. Turning drier in the north towards dawn. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Tuesday:

Cloudy start, with outbreaks of rain sinking south across Wales during the morning. Turning drier and brighter into the afternoon with sunny spells and showers, mostly in the west. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Changeable over the next few days and feeling fresher. Sunshine and showers will spread across the region, and it will turn increasingly windy.

The weather will remain changeable. Occasional rain or showers will push in from the North Atlantic, most frequent across northern and western parts of the UK, accompanied by strong winds at times. However, there will also be some reasonably dry and more settled periods in between these systems, especially across southern areas. There is a chance settled weather may expand further northwards during the final week of September. Temperatures for the period as a whole will probably be close to average overall, but there is scope for some rather warm days at times, as well as relatively cool nights which may bring the occasional grass frost.

A changeable theme is likely to continue, with further spells of rain and showers arriving from the North Atlantic, perhaps accompanied by strong winds at times. These are more likely to affect northern and western parts, but could also affect the wider UK if such systems push east or southeastwards. Some settled spells are also possible during this period, these most likely in the south. Temperatures for the period as a whole will probably be close to average overall.
