Further heavy and thundery showers are expected through the evening, though slowly easing overnight with clear spells developing. Staying mild, with a few mist patches forming by dawn. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Monday:

Showers return for the morning, but these should generally clear for most during the afternoon, as a ridge of high pressure moves in. Feeling fresher, with a northwesterly breeze. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Staying on the mixed side, with further showers and longer spells of rain through this period. Some sunnier moments in between. Temperatures around average for early meteorological Autumn.

Likely remaining unsettled with most areas seeing some showers or longer spells of rain at times, with the main focus for these across northern and western areas, the best of any longer dry spells across the southeast. Potential for some strong and gusty winds at times, again the northwest more prone to these. Temperatures are likely to be near average, although some short-lived warm or very warm spells are possible, especially in the south.

Signals are fairly limited from mid-September onward. At first, probably a continuation of a changeable regime with the wettest conditions in the northwest and longer drier interludes in the southeast. However, the distribution of rainfall soon becomes very unclear, although compared to earlier in the month there is a greater chance of more prolonged settled/dry spells. Temperatures likely varying around average with some warm spells likely, especially in the south.
