A fine evening with plenty of sunshine across most of Wales. Staying dry overnight with clear skies at first, but becoming cloudier through the early hours. A brisk southwesterly wind in the Anglesey and Gwynedd. Staying relatively mild. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Tuesday:

A cooler and cloudier day in western areas and turning murky in the northwest with patchy drizzly rain during the afternoon. Remaining dry elsewhere with plenty of warm sunshine. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Generally fine and warm with lengthy sunny periods. Perhaps cloudier and breezier on Friday with a few showers possible. Becoming very warm for most and feeling hot in the sunshine.

Very warm or hot conditions will likely be the focus of the weather over the weekend and into the start of next week. Temperatures could remain in the low thirties of Celsius across parts of England, with a small chance of approaching mid thirties in some places. Heatwave thresholds may continue to be exceeded across parts of the UK at first. Temperatures overnight will also be very warm and perhaps humid for much of the UK. Across the west of the British Isles, cloudier conditions could bring showers with the odd lightning flash. Winds will also be light for most, and moderate around coasts further west. From early mid week, signs are the heat will ease, with rain and showers, and less hot conditions, perhaps moving in from the west.

The wettest and windiest conditions are most likely to be focus across the in north and west, with a risk of some heavy rain at times, mainly over hills. Broadly settled across the south and east, although some rain may spread across from the north or west at times. Temperatures are expected to be near to or above normal. As is normal for the time of year, there is a chance of hot spells returning across the south and east, which also could lead to the risk of heavy showers or thunderstorms.
