Rise in carbon dioxide off track for limiting global warming to 1.5°C
The increase of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO₂) is now incompatible with IPCC pathways which remain below 1.5°C, a Met Office study finds.

Staying largely dry with broken cloud and clear spells with patchy mist, fog and frost forming. Probably becoming cloudy in the north and west later with showery rain and drizzle. Minimum temperature -1 °C.
Any fog patches lifting then perhaps some sunshine at times in the south. Otherwise a cloudy day with rain at times, mainly in the north. Feeling chilly. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
Staying mainly dry and chilly early next week. Occasional bright spells, but often cloudy with a little rain or drizzle possible at times. Frost and fog in places overnight.
