Daytime showers easing this evening leaving a dry start to the night with clear spells. However, cloud and patchy rain will move in from the west during the early hours. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Tuesday:

Some early brightness in the far east, otherwise a cloudy day with occasional rain and drizzle. The rain turning heavy at times, especially later. Fog patches forming, and winds strengthening. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Further rain and strong winds on Wednesday with some showers on Thursday. Brighter with fewer showers on Friday. Feeling a little warmer than of late, especially in any sunshine.

This will bring showers or longer spells of rain at times, heaviest and most persistent in the northwest, together with some strong winds. The southeast is likely to be driest and brightest. Later in this period, conditions may become drier and more settled, perhaps more especially in the north or northwest, with the south possibly becoming the focus for showers or longer spells of rain. Temperatures will likely be near or slightly above average overall.
