This Evening and Tonight:

Dry with plenty of clear spells to end the day with light winds. This will allow fog to redevelop overnight, the fog locally dense in prone spots. A chilly night with areas of rural frost possible. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Monday:

Fog and frost should gradually clear again on Monday morning with some sunshine breaking through into the afternoon. An easterly breeze developing as the day unfolds. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Cloudier with rain arriving from the south on Tuesday, accompanied by a brisk southeasterly breeze. Further rain on Wednesday, then brighter, but feeling colder on Thursday.

High pressure will initially dominate, leading to widely settled conditions and overnight frost. A few showers will be possible, particularly in northern and western Scotland, and perhaps along some North Sea coasts for a time. Later in the weekend, a transition to more unsettled conditions is expected as bands of rain, and associated areas of low pressure, arrive from the North Atlantic, bringing more widespread wet and windy weather. It is likely to remain fairly changeable through the remainder of the period, with occasional rain interspersed with brighter, showery spells. Whilst colder conditions will be possible at times, especially at first, it will often be mild, with temperatures near or a little above average for the time of year.

Changeable or unsettled conditions are expected through late November and into early December, as Atlantic frontal systems track close to or across the UK at times. These will bring periods of rain and strong winds, interspersed with brighter, more showery interludes. Temperatures will often be mild, particularly away from the far northwest where brief colder interludes are possible. Although confidence is low, there may be a tendency for the track of low pressure systems to shift southwards later in the period. In this scenario, rain will still be possible at times across central and southern parts of the UK, while more northern areas may become somewhat drier and perhaps colder.
