Today:

Early mist and fog patches soon clearing to leave a largely dry and warm day, with sunny spells. Chance of some heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms developing in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 25 °C.

Tonight:

Showers clearing as cloud thins through the evening with most parts dry with clear skies by midnight. Light winds inland but breezy near the coast. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Wednesday:

Long periods of sunshine. Light winds and warm inland but breezy and cooler near coasts. Maximum temperature 25 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Dry, warm and largely sunny over the next few days. Low cloud, mist and fog moving inland overnight. Probably more cloud, and cooler, on Saturday.

Dry, fine, and largely sunny conditions are expected to continue for the vast majority as a slow moving area of high pressure remains dominant. The weather will continue to be warm or very warm, especially in the west, but it will likely be cooler in the east as some coastal areas see more persistent low cloud at times, compared with previous days. There is an increasing chance that conditions will turn wetter and more unsettled through the mid- to latter-part of next week, possibly following a hotter spell, as areas of rain and strengthening winds threaten from the west and/or south (the latter bringing a risk of thunderstorms) This would most likely to be accompanied by temperatures dropping nearer to average for the time of year.

The start of the period may see some more in the way of rain and showers across, especially across western parts. Fine and dry weather is more likely to prevail towards the south and east and may start to develop more widely, but occasional spells of rain and showers are still possible, with potential for thunderstorms on some days. Overall, temperatures will most likely be around or above normal for the time of year.
