Cloudy initially with a few drizzly outbreaks of rain. Some clear spells developing overnight before further cloud and outbreaks of rain arrive during the second half of the night. Very windy along the coast. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Wednesday:

Cloudy with outbreaks of rain for much of the day, some heavy at times. Rain and cloud clearing for a time during the evening. Gale force winds along the coast. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

A mix of dry spells and stormy conditions to end the week. Heavy outbreaks of rain with gale force winds in places on Friday. Turning unsettled once more Saturday evening.

Changeable and at times unsettled, with weather systems spreading in from the Atlantic. These will bring spells of rain, heavy at times, together with a risk of strong winds or gales. Between systems it will be drier and brighter with some sunshine, but also with a few showers in places. Further into the period there is a chance that the weather patterns could become more slowly evolving for a time. This may lead to more in the way of settled weather, especially in the east, but this is uncertain. Temperatures may be slightly below normal at first, but are likely to rise above average later.
