Any early low cloud quickly burning away with largely sunny skies following. However some higher cloud is likely into southern coasts. Staying rather hot, but breezy for many, and a little cooler across east Kent due to the onshore breeze. Maximum temperature 30 °C.

Tonight:

Winds easing to become mainly light. Some low cloud is possible in the far east, with higher cloud continuing into southern coasts, but otherwise clear skies are likely for most. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Friday:

Any early cloud clearing to good sunny spells. Still rather hot in places, especially in the west, but perhaps a touch cooler than recent days with the light northerly breeze. Maximum temperature 29 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Fine and dry, with plenty of sunny spells and likely staying clearer overnight. Cooler than recent days with temperatures easing to nearer normal for mid-July.

Remaining predominantly dry for most parts of the country as high pressure is likely to remain close to the UK for much of this period. However, with the source region of the air being from the North Atlantic, it will be less hot compared to many recent days. Any showers during the start of the period are more likely across the far north. Towards the latter part of July, the influence of high pressure may wane somewhat, allowing a greater chance of rain, showers or thunderstorms compared to earlier in the month, these initially more likely across the north before possibly transferring south. Overall, temperatures are expected to remain above average during this period.

Perhaps a somewhat more changeable period, with the potential for showers or thunderstorms or even some longer spells of rain at times. Drier and brighter interludes are also likely, perhaps more likely across the south and southeast. Temperatures are likely to be above normal with some hot spells possible.
