Cloudy, perhaps dull in places, though brightening quickly with widespread sunshine developing through the morning. Becoming very warm, with an unusually warm night to follow. Breezy during the evening. Maximum temperature 27 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Breezy with rain on Wednesday, clearing to sunny spells. Further rain on Thursday, mainly east, followed by afternoon showers. Sunny spells and afternoon showers on Friday. Temperatures closer to average.

This will lead to a drier than average period overall, with lighter winds than average. Temperatures are likely to remain warmer than average.

High pressure and more settled conditions early in the period may give way to a more changeable pattern towards mid-October. This will bring a greater chance of wet and windy conditions at times, but there will still be periods of drier and more settled weather. Temperatures are likely be above average for the period as a whole.
