Cloudy and breezy throughout the day as outbreaks of rain move east, these heavy at times with a chance of thunder. Some drier and brighter spells in the west later in the afternoon as the rain clears away. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

Remaining largely cloudy with outbreaks of occasionally heavy rain through the evening and overnight. Increasingly dry and clear spells developing from the west towards morning. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Monday:

Any cloud and rain in the east at first will soon clear to sunny spells in the morning. Bright spells and a few showers in the afternoon, heavy at times. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Bright or sunny spells and scattered showers on Tuesday and Wednesday, heavy and thundery at times. Widespread cloud and rain arriving from the west on Thursday.

Probably remaining fairly unsettled early in this period with Atlantic low pressure systems passing to the north and west of the UK. These will bring showers or longer spells of rain at times. The wettest conditions will be in the northwest, with more in the way of drier interludes in the southeast. Strong winds may affect parts of the UK at times, especially the northwest. Higher pressure and more settled conditions will likely become more established through the period, initially in the east or southeast, but perhaps becoming more widespread. There will probably still be some showers or longer spells of rain at times though. Temperatures are likely to be near or a little above normal overall.
