Dry and warm evening to come with some hazy sunshine. Overnight cloud will continue to thicken with some rain arriving into northwest Northumberland by dawn. Minimum temperature 15 °C.

Friday:

Patchy outbreaks of rain will spread southeastwards throughout Friday but tending to weaken as they do so. Many areas becoming dry during the afternoon with sunny spells but feeling cooler. Maximum temperature 25 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Apart from a few showers, the weekend will be largely dry with some sunshine. A band of rain then likely to move in during Monday. Temperatures nearer to average.

Into the start of next week frontal systems will likely approach or move across the UK from the Atlantic. These will bring bring rain to many parts of the UK, although any heavy rain will probably be across high ground in the northwest. Temperatures will likely be near normal or slightly above. Later in the period, high pressure will probably have more of an influence with drier conditions developing for many. Some rain is still possible at times, particularly in the north, together with a risk of thunderstorms in the south. Temperatures will likely be above normal.

High pressure will probably be dominant in the vicinity of the UK during this period, meaning periods of dry weather for many regions. However, some more unsettled or changeable interludes are probable at times, bringing showers or some longer spells of rain, although overall rainfall amounts are more likely to be below average than above. Temperatures will likely be above average and some spells of hot weather and heatwaves are possible, especially in the south.
