Rain gradually clearing east through the evening to leave a largely dry night, with clear spells developing. Winds easing. A cooler night under any clearer spells. Risk of fog patches. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Monday:

Early fog patches clearing to leave a largely dry and bright day, with some sunny spells. Some showers, possibly heavy, will reach southern areas later in the day. Light winds. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Tuesday, bright intervals and occasional showers. Likely wet and windy on Wednesday, after a dry start. Remaining unsettled, often windy, with further showers or longer spells of rain Thursday. Cooler.

Outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, and strong winds will likely ease through Friday as the low continues to move eastwards. This will leave a colder northerly flow for a time at the weekend which will be showery around the coasts but with sunny spells inland. Into the following week, conditions are expected to be changeable with showers or longer spells of rain across many parts of the UK. The cold northerly will likely give way to a more changeable westerly pattern and the wettest weather will probably be in parts of the north and west. Temperatures are expected to be close to or slightly below normal for the time of year.
