Camusrory (Highland) weather

Headline:

A dry start but rain soon spreads north, becoming windy.

Today:

A few light showers at first, otherwise a dry start with some brightness in the north. Rain will spread north over the area during the morning, heavy at times on the northwest coast, turning light and patchy later. Windier later. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

Wet and windy at first but rain turning to showers with some clear conditions too. Continuing showery overnight with a stiff westerly wind moving the showers through. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Saturday:

A blustery day with showers and strong, gusty winds, perhaps some shelter up towards Caithness with a little more sunshine here. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Starting showery again Sunday but brightening up and winds easing in the afternoon, a pleasant end to the weekend. Some spells of rain and southwesterly winds for the new week.

The first part of this period will likely see a build of pressure across much of the UK, with Atlantic weather fronts becoming more confined to the far north west. As such, plenty of dry and increasingly warm and perhaps rather humid weather will develop across the majority of areas. Thereafter, likely turning changeable again, with spells of rain and showers interspersed with some short-lived spells of more settled weather and temperatures returning to near normal overall.

Changeable and perhaps unsettled weather may become more frequent as we move into October, with periods of rain and stronger winds becoming more likely to spread from the west, although with some transient drier and brighter spells also. As is not untypical as we move towards mid-October, deeper low pressure systems could bring occasional periods of very strong winds. Temperatures are likely to remain above normal overall, though brief cooler interludes are also possible.
