A cold start this morning, then dry with sunny intervals. This afternoon will be mainly dry but high cloud spilling across from the west. Rain is likely to reach The Uists and western Lochaber later. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

Cloud and rain will spread northeast this evening and overnight. Rain turning patchy across the east by the end of the night. Misty along the west coast. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Saturday:

Mostly cloudy with occasional rain or drizzle, mainly across the west. Brightening up along the Moray Firth coast in the afternoon. Rather warm and humid. Further rain in the evening. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Bright spells and scattered showers on Sunday and Monday, some longer spells of rain possible at times. Windy, gales in the northwest at times. Fewer shower on Tuesday.

Changeable conditions are expected across the UK during this period. Atlantic frontal systems are expected to spread in from the west at times bringing showers or longer periods of rain to many areas. Some heavy rain is possible and this could be thundery at times. Wettest conditions overall are likely to be in the west and northwest of the UK, with conditions comparatively drier in the sheltered east and southeast. Strong winds may also develop at times, particularly in the north and northwest. In between weather systems, some dry interludes are likely with periods of sunshine. Temperatures are expected to be slightly above average overall, but will be cooler in any prolonged periods of rainfall.

Changeable weather across the UK with a mixture of Atlantic weather systems moving in from the west interspersed with dry and sunny periods. Wetter conditions tending to be across the northwest of the UK, with the south and southeast likely to see more in the way of dry weather, Temperatures are most likely to be near normal or slightly above in the north and west, perhaps with some hot spells at times, especially across the south.
