Rise in carbon dioxide off track for limiting global warming to 1.5°C
The increase of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO₂) is now incompatible with IPCC pathways which remain below 1.5°C, a Met Office study finds.

Mainly dry on Monday, a few showers in the west.
Dry with clear spells over the mainland at first. Cloud and patchy rain over the Western Isles will spread east overnight before clearing towards the morning. Frost in the east this evening. Minimum temperature -1 °C.
A few showers across the west. Otherwise a dry day with some bright spells but a fair amount of high cloud. Light winds. Maximum temperature 8 °C.
Tuesday and Wednesday will see some bright spells interspersed with showers, frequent at times. Mainly dry and bright on Thursday with showers confined to coasts.
