Mainly cloudy with outbreaks of rain in the morning, turning more showery in the early afternoon, some of the showers may be on the heavy side. Some brighter spells developing later in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Tonight:

Some showers at first, occasionally heavy, but these soon fading out. Otherwise it will stay dry through the evening and overnight with some sunny then clear spells. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Monday:

Dry in the morning with some sunny spells. Staying dry and bright in the east in the afternoon, but cloudier in the west with the odd light shower possible. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

An unsettled and changeable period with the risk of rain or showers, rain possibly heavy at times but feeling warm in any sunshine.

Dry at first across the south with sunny periods, where it will also be very warm. Cloudier in the north with showers or some longer outbreaks of rain, which could be heavy in places, and temperatures nearer normal. It will probably become more changeable thereafter, with potential for an area of low pressure to move close to or across the UK at the start of August. This could bring spells of heavy rain and perhaps some strong winds for a time. It may become more settled again toward the end of the first week of August.

Dry and settled conditions will probably dominate much of this period with high pressure patterns tending to affect the UK. This may be interrupted at times by Atlantic frontal systems, especially in the north, or thunderstorms in the south. However, overall rainfall amounts will likely be below normal. Temperatures will probably be above normal and some spells of hot weather and heatwaves are possible, especially in the south.
