Mainly dry with late sunny spells this evening, any showers in the west dying out. Turning rather cloudy through the night with patchy rain arriving in the west towards dawn. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Tuesday:

Overcast with patchy rain which may turn occasionally heavy for a time. Moray will see the best of the drier and brighter conditions. Fresh winds, strong on the east coast. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Variable amounts of cloud with a good deal of dry weather but a few showers not to be ruled out. Becoming often warm or very warm in sunny intervals.

High pressure is expected to bring a good deal of fair, warm weather to the UK during the Bank Holiday weekend. It may be cloudier with a chance of some showers across Northern Ireland and Scotland, but even here it will be much warmer than the previous week and there will be plenty of dry weather around too. Through the following week, high pressure is expected to broadly remain in place for much of the UK, and fine weather is likely to continue for most of the country. There may be occasions where low pressure to the north may bring some brief spells of rain across northern parts, but in general fair weather will dominate. Temperatures are expected to be above normal, feeling very warm at times with light winds.

Fair weather is more likely to dominate, at least at first. Rain and showers are possible at times, mainly across Northern Ireland and Scotland, but the main emphasis remains for fine and dry weather for most places. As we head towards mid-June, more mixed conditions are likely with spells of rain and showers. Drier weather is expected between any bouts of wetter weather, these drier interludes will tend to last longer across the south and east of England. Temperatures are most likely to be near or slightly above average overall, with some warm or very warm weather possible.
