Dry with high cloud at first. Cloud will lower from the evening with snow following northeast from shortly before midnight, continuing through the early hours and becoming quite windy. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

Sunday:

Early snow will soon clear. This will leave the rest of the morning dry with bright or sunny spells. Then cloudier through late afternoon and evening with further rain. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

A few showers Monday, perhaps turning more persistent and windier later. The odd wintry shower possible but Tuesday and Wednesday staying mostly dry with bright or sunny spells at times.

Showers or longer spells of rain as well as occasional strong winds are most likely as Atlantic low pressure systems dominate in the vicinity of the UK. Some heavy rain is likely in places, with some snow probable at times, mainly on high ground in the north. Temperatures varying from around or a little above average, especially in the south, to cold at times, especially in the north. While unsettled weather is likely to dominate, there will be some drier interludes between weather systems. Later in the period, there is a chance that more prolonged drier and settled conditions may begin to develop.
