Staying dull and cloudy through the evening and overnight with perhaps some patchy light drizzle in places. A few clearer spells may develop towards Fraserburgh and Peterhead towards morning. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Sunday:

A largely cloudy start though perhaps some brightness towards the northeast. Brightening up for all through the day with sunny intervals developing. A bit warmer than Saturday. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Monday to Wednesday dry with sunny spells, some overnight cloud or fog. Becoming warm or very warm inland but staying cooler around the coast.

A change in weather pattern is likely at the start of this period, with the preceding dry and sunny weather breaking down into a more unsettled spell. This means an increasing chance of showers by Thursday and into the following weekend. Some heavy and thundery showers are likely, particularly across the south of the UK. Into the following week, conditions will likely remain changeable with showers or longer spells of rain at times, perhaps heavy and thundery in places. Temperatures are likely to be above normal.

The signal through the end of July and into August becomes increasingly mixed with spells of low pressure and more unsettled weather becoming more likely. There may still be some thunderstorms at times as well. There will still probably be some dry interludes, most probably in the south and southeast. Temperatures are likely to remain warm or very warm and some spells of hot weather remain possible.
