Cloudy with rain, heavy at times, through the evening. Becoming clearer and drier overnight with some mist or fog forming but cloud and drizzle continues to affect Buchan. Strong southeast winds at first, easing overnight. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Monday:

Any lingering light rain clearing northeast in the morning, then mainly dry with bright spells and light winds. Any areas of overnight fog may be slow to clear. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Variable cloud and bright spells with chance of some showers on Tuesday and Wednesday. Likely turning wet and windy on Thursday.

Remaining unsettled to start the period as an area of low pressure clears into the North Sea. Outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, and strong winds will likely ease through Friday as the low continues to move eastwards. This will leave a colder northerly flow for a time at the weekend which will be showery around the coasts but with sunny spells inland. Into the following week, conditions are expected to be changeable with showers or longer spells of rain across many parts of the UK. The cold northerly will likely give way to a more changeable westerly pattern and the wettest weather will probably be in parts of the north and west. Temperatures are expected to be close to or slightly below normal for the time of year.

The heaviest rain will probably be across northern areas at first, migrating to western areas later. Temperatures are expected to be close to normal or perhaps slightly above.
