Cloud mostly breaking up in the morning with some sunny spells in the north, quite warm in Moray. Staying cloudier in Southern Aberdeenshire, the cloud spreading north in the afternoon perhaps bringing a few patches of rain, east coast cooler. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Tonight:

A cloudy evening with perhaps a little rain at times. The cloud breaking up in the early hours with some clear spells. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Tuesday:

It will be a dry day with some long sunny spells through the day. Very warm with light winds. Maximum temperature 24 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Wednesday will be sunny and very warm, perhaps some patchy coastal haar. Sunny, hot inland Thursday, coastal haar, perhaps some thundery showers later. Showery on Friday.

Fairly changeable conditions at first with periods of rain and showers, especially in the west, and there could be some thundery outbreaks at times. There will likely be some drier and brighter spells though. Into July changeable conditions are likely to continue as Atlantic lows move in from the west, but with transient periods of high pressure. This will lead to spells of rain and cloud interspersed with more settled periods. Temperatures remain widely above average, and the far southeast may retain some of the hot temperatures at first, but likely cooler than the preceding few days.

High pressure patterns are looking slightly more likely than low pressure patterns during this period, meaning a greater chance of settled and drier than average conditions. There is still a chance of some changeable or more unsettled conditions developing at times, with a risk of some heavy and thundery showers. Temperatures are likely to be above normal, with a greater than normal chance of hot conditions developing at times.
