A dry and partly cloudy start across the region, with the odd mist patch and fog possible. These will clear by mid-morning with a fine day following and feeling warm in good sunny spells. Fresh winds. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Tonight:

A pleasant, dry evening. Cloud builds slowly overnight in the far west, but many areas remain clear allowing some mist patches. A cooler night away from urban areas. Winds easing. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Saturday:

Partly cloudy and dry with the odd mist and fog patch possible. Cloud builds across the region during the day with some patchy light rain later. Warm. Light winds. Maximum temperature 22 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

A settled outlook, generally partly cloudy and breezy but little, if any, rain expected. Temperatures remain above average for the time of year.

Cloudy with some rain in the far southeast and heavy showers in the far north, but otherwise a good deal of fine and dry weather at the start of this period. This will quickly change as weather systems move in from the Atlantic at the end of next week and over the following weekend. These will bring spells of rain or showers to most areas, heavy at times (especially in the northwest) with some strong winds. Into the middle of the month, similarly changeable conditions are most likely, with a mixture of Atlantic weather systems interspersed with some drier, brighter spells. Temperatures will likely be near to or slightly below normal at first, maybe becoming warmer later.

The second half of October will probably maintain a changeable pattern overall with showers or longer spells of rain often moving in from the Atlantic. This means the wettest and at times windiest weather is more likely in the west and northwest, and relatively drier conditions more likely towards the south and east. With a westerly type considered most likely, this would support temperatures remaining close to or a little above average overall. However, there is a chance that more slowly evolving weather patterns develop, which could either lead to longer drier spells more widely or rainfall accumulating in climatologically drier areas.
