Tonight:

An isolated light shower is still possible during the evening, but most areas will be dry and clear spells will develop at times, especially overnight. A mild, though breezy night. Minimum temperature 14 °C.

Monday:

Monday will be a generally dry day across the region with bright or sunny spells. Some more prolonged sunshine is possible later. Becoming very warm in lighter winds. Maximum temperature 27 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

The weather looks dry and settled through the period. There will be plenty of sunshine, and temperatures will creep back up, so feeling hot again, with winds remaining light.

Dry at first across the south with sunny periods, where it will also be very warm. Cloudier in the north with showers or some longer outbreaks of rain, which could be heavy in places, and temperatures nearer normal. It will probably become more changeable thereafter, with potential for an area of low pressure to move close to or across the UK at the start of August. This could bring spells of heavy rain and perhaps some strong winds for a time. It may become more settled again toward the end of the first week of August.

Dry and settled conditions will probably dominate much of this period with high pressure patterns tending to affect the UK. This may be interrupted at times by Atlantic frontal systems, especially in the north, or thunderstorms in the south. However, overall rainfall amounts will likely be below normal. Temperatures will probably be above normal and some spells of hot weather and heatwaves are possible, especially in the south.
