A dry and settled evening with clear skies across the whole region. Winds will be light and variable. Remaining mild overnight. Minimum temperature 14 °C.

Monday:

Largely bright and sunny throughout. Light and variable winds but breezy along the coast, Feeling hot inland but slightly cooler along the coast in the breeze. Maximum temperature 34 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Largely bright and sunny throughout, and notably hot on Tuesday. Temperatures may start to decrease slightly from Wednesday and into Thursday as it becomes breezier, especially along the coast.

The south of the UK is expected to be mainly fine and dry at the start of this period, with temperatures well above normal. It will be cloudier in the north with some rain at times, this heavy in places. Moving into early June, conditions will likely become unsettled across the UK as a whole. Atlantic weather systems will move in from the west bringing showers or longer spells of rain at times. The rain will likely be heaviest in parts of the west and northwest. Temperatures will probably be near normal.

The weather may be a little unsettled initially, with drier weather expected between any bouts of wetter weather. These drier interludes will tend to last longer across the south and east of England and Wales. By mid June there is slightly more evidence that high pressure will dominate, bringing more in the way of dry weather for much of the time. However this does not rule out showery intervals, which can be heavy and thundery this time of year. Temperatures are most likely to be near or slightly above average overall, with some warm or very warm weather about.
