Today:

Any patchy fog and low cloud will clear quickly to give a fine day with plenty of sunshine. Generally mild, but feeling cooler towards the east coast with an onshore breeze Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

After a mostly clear start, patchy low cloud will develop later in the night, along with areas of mist and fog. Chilly, with an isolated frost possible. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Thursday:

Patchy early low cloud, mist and fog will soon clear to give another fine and dry day with long sunny spells. Mild inland, but cooler towards the east coast. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Mainly fine and warm during this period with plenty of sunny spells and light winds. Chilly at times overnight with some patchy overnight fog possible.

High pressure is likely to be centred close to or over the UK through much of the period. Therefore, many places will be largely dry with some clear or sunny spells, although there may be some overnight mist and fog patches. There could, however, be some outbreaks of rain or showers at times, especially in the west and northwest. Winds will be mostly light, but may be fresher around the coasts at times. Temperatures will generally be near to or a little above normal, but there may be some colder conditions at first in the far northeast. Towards the end of the period there is a chance that conditions turn a little more unsettled.

Residual high pressure will likely give way to more unsettled conditions through the early part of the period. This will probably allow Atlantic low pressure systems to spread towards the UK, increasing the chance of periods of heavy rain and perhaps strong winds at times. Towards the middle of the month, weather patterns become increasingly uncertain; however, the wettest and windiest conditions seem most likely to be in the northwest, with the drier and more settled conditions in the southeast. Temperatures will likely be near normal.
