Remaining dry with variable cloud, allowing some good spells of evening sunshine. The winds will ease further, becoming generally light but remaining breezy along the coast. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Sunday:

Dry but quite cloudy to start, breaking up through the morning. Then a mixture of sunshine and outbreaks of rain from mid-morning into the afternoon. Blustery winds developing. Very warm. Maximum temperature 25 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Mostly dry Monday, with rain and strong winds spreading in during the evening. Sunshine and showers on Tuesday, with gusty winds. Showers and strong winds dying away Wednesday morning.

Changeable initially, with some dry interludes and relatively cool nights, interspersed with occasional outbreaks of rain or showers arriving from the west, perhaps accompanied by some strong winds at times too. A trend toward some longer dry interludes between systems as we head toward mid-September, but at this stage a return of prolonged dry, settled weather looks unlikely. Temperatures will probably be close to average overall, though still with some relatively cool nights at times.

High pressure initially close to the UK, with a continuation of more settled conditions at times, may eventually start to weaken its influence on the weather towards the end of September. As a result, it may become more changeable with a greater chance of rain or showers in places, and perhaps some strong winds at times too. Temperatures will likely be a little above average overall, with relatively cool nights possible at first tending to reduce in frequency later in the period.
