A chilly start to the day with a few morning showers along the north Norfolk coast. Otherwise, sunny spells and a gentle breeze. Becoming increasingly cloudy through the afternoon, though remaining dry. Feeling mild. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy through the evening and overnight for western parts, with some outbreaks of light rain toward dawn. A cold night in the east under clear skies, with a rural frost. Minimum temperature -2 °C.

Friday:

A cloudy but largely dry start. Windy with spells of rain moving southeast through the day, perhaps heavy at times. Clearing overnight. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Breezy with sunny intervals and occasional showers Saturday. Sunny then becoming cloudy and windy Sunday, with rain later. Breezy with bright spells, largely dry Monday. Temperatures returning to average.

High pressure to the southwest of the UK will likely be the dominant feature for this period. This will lead to a fairly blocked pattern, with weather fronts rounding the high to affect northern parts at times, where wet and windy weather can be expected. Further south, drier and more settled conditions are more likely, as frontal systems weaken as they meet the high pressure. Through the period, high pressure is likely to spread across much of the UK leading to settled conditions developing more widely. Whilst temperatures will be generally near to or a little above average, some colder interludes are possible, especially in the north, where there could be some wintry showers at times.

High pressure will likely be dominant at the start of this period. As such, plenty of dry weather seems most likely, but with changes in wind direction leading to some quite marked differences in cloud amounts and temperature from day to day. Moving further into April, there is a chance that high pressure will become less dominant and thus there is a greater chance of more places seeing some rain and possible stronger winds from time to time. Overall, temperatures will likely be near to average.
