An area of rain, heavy in places, will continue to affect much of southern and central Scotland and parts of northern England.
This will bring fairly widespread totals of 15-25 mm, particularly over southern Scotland where a few places may receive 40-60 mm. The rain is likely to become lighter for a time later Thursday morning before turning heavy again in the afternoon across southern Scotland.
