A warm end to the day with some late evening sunshine. Staying dry overnight with clear skies at first. Some cloud developing across Cornwall later with some mist and fog patches possible. Temperatures dipping lower than recently. Minimum temperature 14 °C.

Sunday:

Any morning mist and fog clearing, with patchy cloud likely to linger across Cornwall. Dry and bright elsewhere with plenty of sunshine.Low risk of the odd shower later. Feeling warm. Maximum temperature 25 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Staying largely dry with sunny spells and variable amounts of cloud. A few spots of rain are possible at times where the cloud thickens. Very warm in the sunshine.

For much of the UK, dry at first with sunny spells. Northern and northwestern areas will be cloudier with occasional patchy rain or drizzle. Towards the weekend and perhaps into the start of next week, perhaps a more unsettled period with rain at times, especially across northern parts of the UK. This rain may very well reach southern areas too, but could be light and patchy here. Confidence becomes lower as we head into next week, but there are signs that high pressure will return, which means dry conditions would resume, especially in the south. Winds will be mostly light or moderate, occasionally fresh around northern coasts. Temperatures are expected to be near or above normal, warmest in the south, perhaps becoming very warm again by the start of August.

Higher pressure is generally more likely than lower pressure through August. This means settled and dry weather will likely prevail, especially across the south. There still could be rain at times across northern parts, but should become less frequent where dry and warm conditions extend northwards. Although most areas may see dry weather for the much of the period, occasional summertime thunderstorms are possible on some days given the right ingredients. Winds are expected to be generally light or moderate, and occasionally fresh around coastal areas. Temperatures will very likely remain above normal, with potential for further hot spells, particularly in the south.
