Variable amounts of cloud and some bright or sunny intervals along with a few showers. Showers will be occasionally heavy, especially across the west. Colder than of late. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Tonight:

Some late brightness this evening and a few showers. Becoming dry with clear periods overnight across all parts. A cold night with a slight frost in sheltered glens. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Friday:

A dry morning with some early brightness. Then outbreaks of rain will spread northeast in the afternoon and evening. Becoming windy with southeasterly gales along exposed coasts in the evening. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Sunny intervals and the chance of a few showers on Saturday, but some dry weather too. More in the way of showers on Sunday and Monday.

It will likely remain rather changeable during the first part of this period, with showers or occasional longer spells of rain interspersed with drier interludes. The pattern will likely become increasingly slow evolving, with low pressure to the northwest of the UK and high pressure over Scandinavia. This may lead to more in the way of drier, settled weather, especially in the north and east, although there will still be showery outbreaks, particularly in the south. When the winds are light, it should feel quite warm, despite temperatures most likely being close to normal for most.

Blocked patterns with high pressure near to the UK will probably be dominant during this period with a good deal of dry weather across the UK as whole. Some unsettled interludes could develop at times, especially in the south, where rainfall amounts could be above average at times. Temperatures will probably be near to or slightly above normal, although some cold nights are still possible.
