A mainly dry and bright start to the morning. Increasing cloud will soon spread north followed by showery rain from mid-morning. The day will be breezy but warm. Maximum temperature 22 °C.

Tonight:

The evening will continue cloudy with showery rain. This will begin to clear from late evening with clear spells increasing later. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Sunday:

The morning will begin dry with bright or sunny spells. Scattered showers will build from mid-morning. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Bright and mostly dry Monday becoming cloudy with occasionally heavy and showery rain Tuesday and Wednesday.

A drier start to July for most. Cloudier towards the west, otherwise a good deal of sunshine for most. Some northwestern parts may still see rain on occasion, perhaps accompanied by strong winds at times. Temperatures are likely to start off near average in the north and slightly warmer than average in the south, but fairly widely tending to increase further as high pressure dominates the weather into the second week of July, especially across England and Wales.

High pressure is looking slightly more likely than low pressure during the early part of this period, meaning a greater chance of settled and drier than average conditions. Outbreaks of rain and stronger are possible at times, these more likely further north. As normal for the time of year, there is still a chance of some heavy and thundery showers which may interrupt any warm and settled weather. Towards the end of July there is no reliable signal for preferring any one weather pattern over another. However, temperatures are likely to be above normal on the whole, with a greater than normal chance of hot conditions developing at times.
