Mostly cloudy with showers Friday, drier and brighter in south.

This Evening and Tonight:

A few showers will break out across Argyll through the evening and night, occasionally heavy and thundery. Mostly dry elsewhere with variable amounts of cloud. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Friday:

A cloudy day with some showery rain across Argyll, just the odd shower further south. Brightening up in the south later. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Outbreaks of rain will spread east on Saturday, occasionally heavy later. Scattered showers on Sunday. Further rain likely on Monday.

UK long range weather forecast

During the first week of June, Atlantic weather systems are expected to move in from the west, bringing showers or longer spells of rain at times. The best of the drier conditions are more likely towards the south and east, with more frequent rain across the west and northwest, although there will be drier interludes here also. Drier weather may start to become more dominant as we head into the second week of June. Temperatures will be near-normal overall, with the warmest spots most likely across eastern areas. It will also be breezy at times, especially across western parts, and notably so around exposed coasts.

Still fairly changeable or unsettled at first, with Atlantic frontal systems bringing showers or longer spells of rain particularly into the north and west at times. Otherwise high pressure may become more dominant with weather conditions becoming drier and more settled, although some showery interludes are still possible. Temperatures are expected to be near normal at first, but probably rising above average as we head further into June.
