Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Strong winds and blustery showers continue on Monday, with winds easing and showers fading overnight. A brighter and drier day on Tuesday before turning wet and windy again on Wednesday.

Later in the period, there may be a trend toward more in the way of settled and drier interludes interspersed with further periods of rain and showers. These will bring spells of rain and showers, some of which are likely to be heavy at times with a risk of hail and thunder, and some windy conditions, especially if any deep lows form. Some drier, more settled spells are also likely, especially towards the south, perhaps more particularly early in the period when higher pressure may be more dominant. Temperatures are likely to be close to average overall, although chilly nights with some fog patches are possible when and where skies are clear and winds light.
