Visibility
Visibility
Visibility measures the distance at which an object can be clearly seen.
Last of the very hot days. Cooler conditions to come.
Today:
A dry bright and hot day for many. More in the way of cloud towards the southwest where it'll be cooler than the rest of the country. Hot elsewhere once again. Maximum temperature 28 °C.
Tonight:
Cloud turns patchy and moves further north overnight, but returns in the west later. Patchy showers in the northwest. Cooler than recent night but feeling muggy in places. Minimum temperature 15 °C.
Saturday:
Patchy cloud to start the day but lifting and breaking, especially in the east, to give another hot day, but not as hot as recent days. Cooler in the west. Maximum temperature 24 °C.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Sunday brings rain, clearing west to much fresher and cooler conditions. Monday and Tuesday are then mostly dry with sunny spells. Temperatures a little above average.
Updated:
UK long range weather forecast
Fairly changeable conditions at first with periods of rain and showers, and there could be some thundery outbreaks at times. The best of the drier and brighter weather initially will be across the southeast. Then perhaps a drier start to July for many, although the northwest may still see some rain at times, and perhaps accompanied by some strong winds. Temperatures are likely to be near average in the north and slightly warmer than average in the south, but aren't expected to be as hot as seen recently.
Updated:
High pressure patterns are looking slightly more likely than low pressure patterns during the early part of this period, meaning a greater chance of settled and drier than average conditions. Although with outbreaks of rain and stronger winds at times, more especially across the north. There is still a chance of some changeable or more unsettled conditions developing later in the period, with a risk of some heavy and thundery showers. Temperatures are likely to be above normal on the whole, with a greater than normal chance of hot conditions developing at times.
