    Windy at first, however winds will gradually ease through the day. Sunny spells and just a few showers to start the day, but a heavier spell of rain arrives in the afternoon. Temperatures above average for January. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

    Tonight:

    Rain clearing to the east this evening, followed by clear spells and showers. Remaining breezy and mild across the country. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

    Tuesday:

    Cloud and rain quickly spills in through the morning, with some heavy and prolonged downpours at times. Another mild day but turning colder in the evening. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

    Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

    Less cold than of late, with periods of heavy showers or longer spells of rain. Winds will strengthen at times, though there will also be some occasional brighter interludes.
